I think a rough list of the teams competing in this competition are : Castle Hill BLK Castle Hill WHT Castle Hill Rockets Parramatta City Merrylands SFC Granville Rage (I think rage have 2 teams this year) Baulkham Hills Auburn FC Lidcome St Michael's
Discussion's already started which is great to hear. I am hearing a few different things out there. I am hearing: 2 x chu 2 x rsl 2 x rage Lidcombe Auburn Parra Msfc Baulko Rydalmere St michaels Association by laws say 10 team max per division, so it looks like some teams will miss out. Priority must be given to teams from last year I guess. So I'm guessing it might look like this: 2 x chu 1 x rsl 1 x rage Parra Msfc Baulko Lidcombe Auburn
With only 1 other maybe rage as they are kids from the association. Any thoughts?
Definitely only one CHRSL team. I'm also hearing 2 x CHU following a strong turn out at their U15 grading session. I believe it is GDSFA's preference to have 10 teams in Div 1 age groups. Therefore, I'd suggest your second list is more likely although Auburn FC may not make Div 1 if St Michael's field their team which is basically an ASR academy team.
Auburn fc Under 14s Division 2 Were Grand Champions in Division 2 so They deserve to move up to Division 1,Why should Granville Rage have two teams and we miss out,I now a few of our player have join Granville rage no loyalty anymore,Rydalmere and St Michaels never had a team in Division 1 or 2 in the under 14s last year.Well looks like its going to be very interesting good luck to all the teams

St Michaels are as much GDSFA as anyone else.....eligible, registered, paid fees. Competition should try to restrict the number of clubs having 2 x teams in my opinion, although CHU could be an exception as they have proven to be fairly competitive in the past. Team list should therefore be 10 teams (fairest for all) and look something like......
Castle Hill United Black Castle Hill Rockets Parramatta City Merrylands SFC Granville Rage Baulkham Hills Auburn FC Lidcome St Michael's Castle Hill United White....far from disgraced last year.
CHU white coach has taken on role as coach of black's. Interesting year ahead for all. Whites only have 7 players back from last year out of 16. What does that tell you. Certainly will be tested this year in Div 1 again.
Turk...nassassar.(i hope you understand it), it will be good to meet you if you guys are given the chance in 1's. I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen, I've only put in writing what I've heard. Unfortunately whiteknight your st michaels could be taking the spot of these kids that have been in the association for years, and i think that has to be taken into account. I dissagree with 2 CHU not being there, as stocko will know that after their last game last year, i congradulated him for a brilliant season and by far the most improved team of the year.
Some more food for thought... 12 team comp with night games used to cathup with the rest of the competition. This will disadvantage rage but that doesn't really matter, does it anonymous (jokes)
Mal123 Yes I do Understand Mal.Like I said Rydalmere and St Michaels never had teams in Division 1 or 2 last year we don't mind them playing in division 1 as long as we are in division 1 as well,I thought the 2 teams that play in the grand final Automatically go up a division and the teams that come last and second last drop to the next division,Like I said our boys have earn the right to go up a division by winning the grand final.
Lidcombe Waratahs were minor premiers and Auburn fc Grand Champions in the under 14s Division 2 Comp so I Think they should be given the first option to go up a division I though the teams that play in the grand final go up division and the teams that come last and second last drop down to the next division so Lidcombe and Auburn should be given the first option before concidering St Michaels and Rydalmere.
What if St Michael's and/or Rage have very strong Div 1 teams (or in Rages' case a second strong team). Why put them in Div 2 where they might flog all other teams by huge scores each week. As Whitenight stated, they are entitled to register teams with the GDSFA and there is no requirement that players must reside within GDSFA boundaries (well not as far as I know). My view is that the strongest 10 teams should play in Div 1. That could very well include Lidcombe & Auburn FC. It's a difficult job that the GDSFA has when there are more than 10 teams wanting to play in Div 1.
Maybe one solution is that these new strong teams might consider playing up a year i.e. play in the 16/1 comp. That could just move the problem as I see last years U15/1 comp had 10 teams. Food for thought....
