On Behalf of the North Rocks Soccer Club, North Rocks 35/4, I'd like to offer my sincerest condolences to Ash's family, friends and also to the team and the Dundas club. We had many a tussle with the Dunnies boys, including 2 Grand Finals in the last 8 years. So so sad.
Rob Younie President North Rocks Soccer Club Captain 35/4
The Winsto 35/3's send out their thoughts and prayers to the family and the Dundas team, we had many tussles with the dundas boys last year and the games were always in great spirits. Thinking of you all.

Thank you to everybody for your messages and condolences. As you can imagine it has been a very distressing 24 hours for the team and the club. Speaking to a few of the guys last night, they have been touched by the messages and support they have received from right across the association. Emotions are still very raw and we are all still coming to terms with what has happened. Thank you again on behalf of the team and the club - he was a genuinely good bloke that will be missed immensely.
And thank you also to the fellow who performed CPR (Jaffa). I know the team, the Dundas club and the family appreciate what you did. Please let us know next time you are at Curtis Oval, as the committee and the team are keen to thank you in person.

Thanks to all, for your messages of support for Ash's family, club and team mates. What do you say when you lose one of your best mates at anytime, what do you say when you lose one of your best mates playing a trivial game you love doing and have been doing together for countless years. I wasn't at yesterday's game, it's the first game I have missed in years, so I didn't witness the horror of that day, so I can remember Ash for what he was, funny, generous, fiercely competitive and above all a lovely human. To my team mates and our opponents on Saturday who were there my thoughts are also with you all, seek help if you need to. Jaffa I don't know you but thanks for your help and efforts, many thanks you couldn't have done anymore, champion! Adam Szabo
Merrylands 35's would also like to give our condolences to the club and to the players and family of the young fella. Out of all teams I have personally played against, I have found Dundas to be one of the greatest bunch of guys. They seem to be so tight and always had a laugh with them after the game win or lose. Heads up boys. This year you will always be playing with 12 on the field
