Parra 1 Newington 0 - Fiasco at the start of the game with Parra not having their player cards. Newington had the option to win on forfeit but gave them extra time for them to arrive. After about 30 mins the game got underway. A tense first half with no score and then Parra got the winner with about ten to go. Quality striker that had a couple of chances he was due to score. Full marks to Parra they deserved the win and outmuscled the opposition. They were a different team today little niggle at all and they've picked up some good players since mid season. Disappointing final last game by Newington just didn't compete as hard as the opposition today. GF preview later in the week - on today's performance Pendo are in for a very tough game. It's been a good competition thanks to all from the Gunners! .

35/3 Grand Final Preview - Pendle Hill vs Parramatta City The 35/3 Grand Final takes place this Saturday with the Minor Premiers Pendo taking on the in-form team in the competition in Parra City. Last time they met was only a few weeks ago in the first major semi-final with Pendo getting the win but only after penalties. By the sounds of things in that game Pendle Hill didn’t play well and by contrast Parra City were very strong against Newington winning 1-0 and booking the rematch against the Tigers. So the only question that remains is which Pendo team will front up? This is the team that had the minor premiership wrapped up months before the season end and combined with a long injury list motivation for the back end of the season would have been tough. Parra City by contrast are the in-form team in the competition and have strengthened as the season has gone on. Parra have a quality striker up front who is their key for goal scoring. Pendo will have to be defending him tightly or the goals will come. On the other hand Pendo have strength and size up front also however Parra City have strengthened big time at the back and will no doubt be looking to man mark Pendo’s main striker out of the game. Parra also play a very central defence will no wing backs, therefore there is an opportunity for Pendo to expose this and use it to their advantage. In their past two games against each other, over a total of 3 hours of football neither team could get the winner with two draws. So who will get the money? I’m backing a more open game with a few more goals than their past encounters. Pendo haven’t played in two weeks and it is probably a benefit to them that Parra City’s momentum has been halted for at least a week with the postponement of last week. One thing is for certain (well maybe certain) and that is Parra City will turn up with their ID cards for this game after nearly losing on forfeit in the first semi. So my GF tip with absolutely no confidence whatsoever is Parra City 2 Pendle Hill 1 – yes I’ve jumped ship off Pendo I hope they can prove me wrong! Good luck to both teams and let’s hope for some sunshine.

Thanks for the preview Cuptied you have summed it up perfectly. Our 2 previous matches have been entertaining to say the least even if the quality of football hasn't been that good. I think we can expose the PC defence with some changes in game plan this weekend and by going back to a plan that worked well early in the season I hope to see the goals flow from our 3 Big men up front! One thing that will be certain is PC will struggle in the expanse of Max Ruddock and PH will try to exploit that. I fully understand your shift away from PH as favourites but as the Great Mal Meninga said in 2006
I HAVE A TEAM OF PLAYERS HERE WHO ARE THE UNDERDOGS BUT HISTORY WILL JUDGE THEM!!
Good luck to both teams tomorrow and I hope it is a good game of football. I will be on the sidelines cheering loud GO PENDO!!

Pendo still favourites on the tote so you can't go with that underdog tag!! Or are they Chickenwhisperer? Pendo only lost one game all season. We thought Ray Marshall which isn't small wouldn't suit PC but they adjusted easily. Good luck - formation and technical adjustment could be the difference.

Result? Are the Pendo boys bathed in glory? Pendo 2 Parra 1 Pendo led 1 nil at HT then Parra scored early in second half before Pendo got the winner with 10 to go.....congrats Pendo and well played Parra. Pendo main striker got both a cracker with his left foot and a great header.

Congrats & well done to Pendo and deserved winners, as they were the best team throughout the whole season. Great effort by PC to get in and make it a close GF as well. We will be having a great end of season 4 day trip starting on thurs, so still a good end to the season for us anyway Thanks to all the teams for making it a great comp as well.
