Early start up, as following this age group always seems to create much interest…each year. No doubt 2011 will be filled full of fun and games for all.
The inside mail is the CHU Champion age group going for 6 minor premierships will have to regroup again with at least 5 players promoted up to youth league this year, Congratulations on their progress and development. The remaining player’s best wishes to them there’s still plenty of talent there and I know the lower division lads are all looking for opportunity to be promoted through the ranks and defend their ongoing successes.
Should be another exciting year for all the u14/1s in the Granville comp.
Good luck to all…….
Will be interesting to see the make up on the teams in 2011 with likes of Dundas and Wenty probable for promotion back into div 1
speaking of which, as I have been contacting our coaches to see if they are coming back it is with a heavy heart I have to report that fishin has told me that he will be doing just that next year as he son wants to play with school mayes elsewhere
yep no fishin next year from what he has told me. His son wants to play elsewhere with mates from school and he is not quite that silly/demented/dedicated to want to coach a team without his son playing in it.

oko, I've haven't a child in the comp for a while. the local comp is where it all starts for many young kids and the development is where my interest lies in the development of all kids its where I've had my contribution to them on the park. now if you feel BIG that your contribution is to ban opinions on this forum well keep up the work! interesting side news as I'm not bashful its a pride acknowledgment that the old LW no.10 and the old CHU no. 11 are have recently been selected together to represent NSW U13s in the up coming National Futsal titles to be held in Canberra. ( they'll play against teams from New Zealand and Solman Islands and all other states) Best best to both lads.
and finally oko if stating one's opinion and contributing to this forum is causing you angst maybe its time to look for a new pastime.

First up, here's to a happy and healthy new year to all.
The mail is correct. After much soul searching ( and chart plotter and GPS searching ), I have decided to hand in my whistle. The reasons to have a break from it all became greater than the reasons to continue. We had a blast, taking a team of patched up 4th division kids to a competitive first division team within 18 months. To win the GC in such a quality comp the following year was an amazing experience for the boys. Just glad to be there with them. I've made some good friends through the sport and wish them all well. Even my biggest antagonist . . .look after your boy. Don't push him too hard. I see you got in first so your name can be on as starting the thread. . Good to see that some things don't change . Nice to see a couple of GDSFA boys doing well, Ona. I wish you all the very best. I know that LW is a great club and will continue to produce outstanding players, and wish them the best too. I hope the grade doesn't suffer for the reduction of players that happens at this age. I see some players from our comp at cricket, etc and we all have a laugh at the expense of 1 or 2 coaches/clubs.
The lure of the water calls me louder than can be ignored. And, landing some 40+cm whiting helps, too ! ;D. Be good, thanks for the memories, don't push them kids too hard, and most importantly, happy hook-ups. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
thank GOD ,i will be the first to say well done you have done the right thing for the club and for the kids. trust me when i say this is the best news any club could hear. well there might be some laughter between you and your 1 mate ,but trust me when i say that the whole district has a laugh at the expense of 1 person and i mean from even people that are not even on this thread.(the whole district). anyway thank the soccer gods for great news for all concerned .
to the rest good luck this year and have a heap of fun
This is my opinion and i don't give a toss what you think

yeah stan, You know what it's like to have the district laughing at you.( well, maybe you are not aware . .) I had so many people asking me why the Premier league coach all of a sudden decides to assist with the 13/1's. ( and even people from your club, too ) When I told them that you are stan from the forum, they all reckoned you did it just so you could stick it up me when you beat us. You know, some sort of childish, immature get-square for what I give you on the forum. No, that wasn't it was it stan ? . . .Christ, I hope not !!! . . . . for your sake !!! You wouldn't be that childish and petty, would you ? Did you have all your smart-arse comments already planned out ? . . you know, for when you beat us. It's a shame that they never made it out of the envelope.
You did your best stan, and that's all you can do. It simply wasn't good enough.
You gave the poor kids/parents in the team some mis-guided hope that the Big Brave Premier League coach would make a difference, but you couldn't even get them into the semi finals. From everything I heard, that's what the district was laughing at. . . . that stan the Prems coach got smacked twice by fishin the parent coach. But maybe it's just talk. In a PC way, the parents will tell you what a great job you did with the team. Don't be fooled by their gluten-free, soy latte intentions.
The truth is, you did nothing. Well, you did your best. Same thing, really.
stan, as one coach to another . . . do you feel like a failure when you can't even take your team to the finals ? I guess you would.
well i am coaching under 8s this year and was doing that before i knew you fell over the fence. so as you can see i dont mind helping out at within our gluten-free, soy latte comunity.now dont be raciest. Its not our fault you dont have coffee shops where you are from.
look i understand that you and your son must be upset from not being able to beat CHU but its ok mate winning isnt everything its the only thing;right, but that doesnt mean that you should pack up and run i mean what sort of example are you letting your son deal with?
stan, as one coach to another . . . oh and calling your self a coach well now that will just about do me.
now i remember you giving ona and other a hard time for being on here with no son playing soccer within granville or this thread and you where pretty adamant about that,so im guessing you of all people will not be a hypocrite and we will not see you on here ever again.
so i wish you all the best and good bye ,i know you cant reply as you will not be a hypocrite so all the best
This is my opinion and i don't give a toss what you think

Stan, seeing that creepy doesn't want us to be childish, I'll just stick with facts. "I dont have coffee shops where I'm from" . . . I bet that 10 years ago you were drinking nescafe, with all of it's 43 bean taste. You put blonde streaks in your hair, and your talking to me about coffee. " not being able to beat chu " . . . It seems that you are more obsessed with winning than me. We beat them last year. We are now 1 each in our GF's. That's fine by me. I'm more than happy and proud of my team. We don't have to win every single year. But it seems that you do. Let it go stan. Share the joy around. It's good for your soul.
And lastly, the bit about me not being a coach . . . well, let me put it to you like this . . . you and I were lucky enough to be coaching in the same age, same division and same association. So we have a great reference point. YOUR team played MY team 3 times. The results panned out thus : YOUR team lost all 3 games. No draws, no wins. They lost by 2 goals each time. Hardly close games. 3 0 0 3 1 7 -6 0. All this from the Premier League coach.
As opposed to the bloke you say isn't a good coach who beat you 3 from 3. No draws, just wins. If I can't coach, and you couldn't take a point from me in 3 attempts . . what does it say about your coaching ? And God knows how much you would have been burning to beat my boys.
From memory, KV finished 5th in '09. What improvement did your wunder-coaching bring about in '10 ?
Chill stan. Do your best, and that's all they can ask.

stan, When I was talking about chu, I said " we are now 1 each in OUR GF's ". OUR meaning LW and CHU. We have played 2 GF's against each other, and are 1 each.
So your maths might need sharpening up.
And are you that desparate for recognition that you are riding on the coat tails of chu ?
Man up buddy. Make your own mark.
chu have nothing to do with you. I'm pretty sure they would not want you hopping aboard. It's pretty pathetic of you to even bring up another teams record. Pathetic, but not surprising. You should spend more time concentrating on your own team's results against LW, and not worry about any third parties.
