Sorry curvebal didnt have alot of time yesterday . Pendo looked good early and got 2 goals up at h/t. Should have been more. started second half well and got a 3 goal .Baulko hit back from a free kick from 18 yards out, nicely taken. We hit back straightaway ,then baulko got one late.A good game played in very slippery conditions.
Just saw the Sydney/State Cup draw. Kellyville play Putney first up on the 8th, While Auburn play Barden Ridge, CHU play Heathcote and Pendle Hill play Mongo FC, all on the 22nd. Not sure what to expect here. Hopefully some good results from the Granville teams
Chief - I do not know anything about the other Granville opposition teams but I do know that Putney are a very strong team and from memory I think made it to the semi's in CoC last season.
They have big solid defenders that are very good and difficult to beat and they have an extremely fast and skillful striker who has free rain up the front and if he gets past you he wont be caught. He would be as quick if not quicker than the red headed lad from Pendo's team last year.
He also has an excellent shot and takes all their free kicks and usually hits the target even from distance.
They tend to try and find this striker all the time so you will need to shut him down.
Barden Ridgebacks and Heathcote are from the Sutherland Shire and all their teams are usually strong and Mongo is from Kuringai and is some academy type club.
Correct. Pendo beat Auburn 1-0. Good game. Auburn are a tall team. A few chances missed by both teams but Pendle Hill did seem to have control for most of it. Heard Parra City beat Baulko 3-2. Also when I had another look at the State Cup draw it has Kellyville having forfeited to Putney??

Saw most of the Pendo v Auburn game and Auburn probably shaded Pendo in terms of possession and chances created and Auburn deserved a draw but the Pendo team as they have in recent years continue to step up against the good teams.Standout for Pendo was there tall defender sweeper/stopper.Game played in good spirit.
pendo 1 auburn 0 we didnt play our best today but our defence was strong. We should have been more than 1 nill up at half time .All credit to auburn they played well and had chances late in the game .A tuff game .
Having watched the game Pendo across the park technically a little better knocking the ball around, supporting and running off each other. Auburn good at the back and on their day will be dangerous. As for the goal, good build up down the right hand side was rewarded by a cross that slid off the top of the boot finishing in at the back post. Good work rewarded with a little luck. Looking forward to the return game.

Hi Curveball, I'm still here just sitting in the background looking with interest. So far i can see your squad is scoring plenty of goals in the last few games, that first game against Pendo must have been a wake call to your squad. Auburn seem to be the dark horse of the competition with some good results so far. Can't forget Parra City again prodcing some good results. Pendo are getting good results considering they have the hardest draw needing to play some quality teams in the last few rounds of the season. Bit disappointed to see Kolts on the end of some big scores. The other teams CH UTD Whites, County & Baulko will improve as the season progress. ok my tips are: County vs. CH Utd Wht ...... CH Utd Wht will win this game 3 - 1 Auburn vs. Baulko ....... Auburn are a strong side and will win by 2 goals Parra City vs. CH Utd Blk ....... CH Utd Blk will win this game but only just 2 nil Kolts vs. Pendo ..... Kolts alway give Pendo a hard time in the past and it be the same again but i will tip Pendo for win maybe by 3 goals
sundays game i will tip Parra City by 2 goals over CH Utd Wht.
PENDO 4 KELLY 1 Pendo turned up today thinking the game was won before a ball was kicked. Wrong attitude boys. Kellyville kept us at 0/0 h/t. A half time rev up worked and we played much better in second half.
Heard a young bloke from Castle Hill was very ill atr the moment. Please wish him and his family all the best from the players , staff and parents at Pendle Hill. It just shows there are a lot more important things in this life than the bounce of a ball. Hoping he has a speedy recovery
