Not good to see such big blowouts in the first round. You may be right koltville, I did hear Auburn were up by 3 after 10 minutes. Looking forward to next week & the Castle Hill boys taking on Auburn D. I was told today that they (Auburn) have a few players that have played up for a couple of seasons but are back playing in their correct age. That may give them an edge over a few teams. If I can get to next weeks match it is going to be hard to be calling out "Go Castlo?" I don't even know how to spell it properly let alone shout it out.

Oh Leeds . . . . say it ain't so !. How could you do that to him ?.
Merry . . . bad luck on the result. When choosing a counsellor, make sure his name starts with the letter J. It seems a high proportion of the very best in that field have christian names that start with J. Jack, Jim and Johnny. Kolt . . . a good result for you. Hope they keep it up. Meatus . . . apart from results, how are you going ?. Enjoy the season boys . . . . .

fishin - All good here. Even the result doesn't bother me too much provided the boys learn from it. The good thing about it is their pride is hurt, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they bounce back.

Merryman - Wenty have exactly the same team as last year. We had an off day, were lazy and impatient whereas Wenty were more enthusiastic and clearly the more energetic team. They play their sweper up front with their other main man now, and the entire pattern of play for the rest of the team is to belt the crap out of the ball as far as they can and let the quick guys up front do the rest. We didn't deal with it at the back and got punished accordingly.

Meatus . . good tactic. Let's hope they pick up from that game. How's the milf magnet going these days ?. Say g'day if you see him.
Merry . .. are you throwing baits around ?. Let me bite freely . . . Mate, firstly we'd all have to agree that to win 3 seasons on the trot is a feat. Let alone 6, going for 7 !!!. Congrats to all concerned. The ability of the team to re-build after losing players to YL, etc is one of the factors of their continued success. We all know how hard it is to be competitive when you lose a few good players. Coaching, club culture, the drawing power of a large club would surely all contribute as reasons for the great success of the team . . . but I reckon the single biggest factor is having 2 or 3 or 4 teams to draw replacement players from. Any coach of a 1 team per age club will tell you how hard it is to find suitably talented kids to re-stock the team each year. Merry, Meatus, etc . .how good would it be to have the championship winning 2nd division side to pick your new players from each year ?. Instead of having to drag some kid up from 4th division ? BUT . . . the CH kids can't help if their local demographic is a high growth area at present. Good luck to the club for using their advantage. Any other club would do the same thing. It is a great achievement for this team to have performed the way they have. They should be rightly proud of their long term success.
Without having seen any of the current teams, I know that particular clubs will struggle simply because they don't have enough talented players available from which to pick a competitive first division team. If you only get 20 or 25 kids turn up for rego for an age group, it would be highly, highly unlikely that 15 of them would be first division standard. The team is then below par from the start, loses games, gets demoralised by not being able to compete, and so it goes from there.
Good luck to CH. I enjoyed our games ( despite some of the coaches ), and let's not forget that any other club would strive to make the most of the same opportunities if presented. Fair to say we'd all be a little jealous that we don't have that many kids turn up to our rego's !!
Good to hear from you & quite a magnaminous post from you considering your relationship with some at CH. You have to admire what they have done since Under 9's when the run began. To lose just 1 match in 9's & 10's was a great feat & to have been able to keep winning the MP & their fare share of GF's whilst losing so many good players to Metro & Youth was a great effort.
From what I have seen so far watching the boys (CH) this season, I am sure they will be quite competitive & have some good match ups with a few of the teams.
Good luck to all teams & hopefully the round will go ahead this weekend.

we have an over abundance, 19 I think although 1 is OS for most of the season i believe. Several are small kids as they are still 14 and found Auburn a bit physical for their liking which is why they now want to quit, but when they play the other teams it may be better
