Winston Hills WHT 1 Auburn FC 2. Really good game, Auburn dominating for 70mins, until Wh equalize and start a come back. Unofficial Ref was one of the Wh's boys who couldn't have done a better job in non stop rain, absolute gentleman.
CHU 1- 2 Guildford. Dear oh Dear (how did that happen?) tough match in tough conditions and fair play to County who dug deep to take the spoils. thanks to the volunteer ref who did well and should never have been abused (and shoved) by the tool No.10 for County. I hope you're man enough to apologise on here? Rest of the team are good guys who deserve better.
No apology will be forthcoming from anyone at Guildford. The ref, yes a volunteer should be thanked for putting his hand up BUT...
The referring was not at all in the spirit of the game - a penalty awarded to CHU for their striker kicking the floor, the inconsistency in calls and undoubted bias - the guy, although a volunteer, did everything he could to give them the win.
We got hot headed - at at times it did go over the top - apologies for that - but the game was not played in good spirits as soon as CHU went down... The ref did a good job to put up with BOTH teams
It was a great game today crazy cow, but what a ref! I think there were more stoppage minutes than actual game time. CHU have a shot that hits the bar in the last minute after our keeper gets a finger on it, only for Auburn to go up the other end and score with the last kick of the game.
Olebear - Black and white ref. Free kicks ran 3-12 against the Knights. 5 of the Yellows were for dissent, so you have to say they got frustrated with the rulings, and didn't adjust to the referee, so eventually poor discipline cost them. They were all over Pendle Hill, but just didn't put them away, and let the referees 'interesting' decisions get in the way. I had the Pendle Hills manager have a polite shot at me that one of my blokes went in for a two footed slide tackle. Thank heavens for the Pendo player he missed, but the ref missed one of my blokes (188cms tall) getting kicked in the head. He is at the doctors getting his vision checked because the foot connected with his eye and did some damage. When that one was missed a player on the sideline yelled out 'keep up with the play ref', got a second card and so was sent home. Pendo have a really good goalie who repeated Schwartzer's point-blank saves from the night before - twice.
Pendo and St Micks was a tight game. Sure Pendo got more calls but that's because we weren't complaining about every incident. St Micks are pretty solid but they certainly don't like a solid challenge. In the end St Micks were lucky to get away with a draw given that they had a full team with reserves and Pendo had 11 and then an injury that had us a man down.
