Fishin' - What about a second scenario (just about the kids)...
Team ABC wins MP and lose the GF - kids are a little down (but as stated, a quick fix of Macca's and a play in the back yard) but soon recover.. (Parents turn to drink - but that is another story)...
Team ABC then go on and win C of C - They receive the State Trophy and medals, are extremely happy - have their pictures taken and posted on the FNSW website for all to see for the next few months. As a bonus they receive a coaching and D:E:V:E:L:O:P:M:E:N:T: package which runs through the summer months...
This helps them to progress and they all sign with a PYL club -
FAST FORWARD (10-15 years) and 6 of these kids are lining up for the Soccerroos in a World Cup Qualifier against another Asian opponent and win that game to take them into the World Cup (in their own country)... The kids (now men) walk over to the crowd after the game and sign autographs for a couple of young kids (hmmm, kids of the players who won the u12 Granville competiton - great grand kids of Fishn's team - ;D)
Nobody in that stadium (except those kids father) knows who won the u12's Granville competition in 2009 (and I am pretty sure that no-one really cares)...

Redcard, That scenario wins, hands down, no contest.
Listen pal . . . this forum is no place for intelligent, well thought out arguments. I think I've warned you about sensible posts before, so I've grabbed a red texta and put a 25% warning next to your name. Now my screen is a mess. The wife and kids will kill me. I hope your happy ;D
Stan, you won yours, and I won mine. They obviously mean a lot to us both. I'm sick of going around in circles. Agree to disagree. Amen.

Good work, Cdad, They seem to be a selection from the professional photographer dude that was at the ground. We just picked up our CD's with pic's of the game. Some great action shots, and all really sharp and clear. Before and after shots, lining up in tunnel, some crowd shots . . and most important of all, the wonderful Parra Stadium scoreboard at the end of the game ! Well done to whoever selected his services.
No, I tell a lie . These all seem to be different to the CD photo's. Good shots the same. Look at the first photo . .everyone loves the feel of the red shirt.

Yes, well done to the chu players. 5-0 !!! amazing. But I've got a couple to settle . . .
What a shame that Onamission has slunk away, and Stan isn't around on this thread any more. Because I'd love to know what they are thinking right now. Remembering the way they belittled any result in the State Cup ( of course except the unlucky game first result !!) Onamission, please get me the stats on that brilliant team you pipped on the weekend. You know . .just like the info you got on our opposition in the State cup. Their comp standings. Their impressive goal tally. Their steel-like defensive average. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Where did they finish in their comp again !!!! LOLOLOLOL They sound really good. I might organise a trial against them . LOLOLOLOLOL ;D ;D ;D... You know, so we play talented teams, and not the second rate " take your shoes off " teams . . .LOLOLOLOL ;D ;D ;D
Hey Stan, using the exact same logic as you did when you were discussing LW's State cup efforts . . . IMAGINE WHAT THE SCORE WOULD HAVE BEEN IF LIDCOMBE WARATAH HAD PLAYED THEM !!!! Stan . .thank God it's only open to the best. ch won 5-0. Our 14's won 3-0. Our 17'2 won 6 or 7-1. the 11's won 5-0? It seems that whole district is blessed with goal scoring and defensive brilliance. LOLOL.
I sure hope this hits a nerve. With apologies to the few good sports in chu.

Castle Hill should be congratulated for the match that they played yesterday. Losing the way they did in a penalty shootout (3-4) is never easy but they certainly did not deserve to lose the match in normal or extra time. Without dominating the match as such, CH were the better & more creative team. I am sure that even the FC people would have to agree. They created far more chances than Colts with the Colts keeper pulling off at least two magnificent saves. Colts had a couple of chances as well but overall CH defence was very solid.
Be proud of yourselves boys !!
It is widely thought (maybe to begin with through self proclamation) that Southern Districts are one of the top associations in the U/12 age group. If this is true then there is nothing wrong at all with being in the Granville comp as CH proved yesterday. If FC are the best team in that association then we must be playing in a comp of equal or maybe even higher standard.
All the best to the CH lad that injured himself yesterday.

Yeah Leeds, I agree with you about the game. I thought one of the Rhino's might have posted first.
Ch definitely had the better of the game in the first half. They played better than the SD side, yet I still don't think either team was playing at their peak. I have seen ch play much better than that. The second half was a little more even, with both thanking their keepers for brilliant saves. I think it was Syd jr in goals in the second half that pulled off a fantastic save to keep his team in the match. It is a shame that kids this young get subjected to PSO's. I agree that Ch didn't really deserve to lose the game . . . just as the SD team didn't deserve to win it, either.
And lastly, I'd like to thank Boss Rhino for helping me with a copy of the gf game. She kindly tracked down one of their dads who took a video of the game, and we are meeting up for him to give me the copy he so kindly burned. I appreciate it very much.
