cream, care to give us all a run down on your game...was looking forward to watching but woke up and it was 9.45am...oh well. Watched engadine the week before and whilst they dominated the arncliffe side, thought kv would be in the game up to their eyeballs...especially after dusting brookvale 7 blot. great result that.
Unfortunately we ran out of bodies on Sunday, a couple of key lads away and injuries on the day were the levelers.
We definitely had the better of the first half and were unlucky to not go in one or two up. The second half saw us have to fight to hang in....the opposition literally hitting the woodwork six times. 0-0 and extra time saw us shade it but not able to create a clear chance. Overall on the day, Engadine deserved the points but we scraped through to pens....on any other day I would back our full squad to get the result....frustrating but this is footy!
The pens are a whole different story...we fell behind when our third one was saved....the lifeline was handed to us when Engadine drove their last one over the crossbar....time for Cream to step up and show the boys how it's done....
......I think a few of the boys are still standing on halfway waiting....?!
I was there and the Ville dominated the first half not sure what happened at half-time but Engadine just dominated after the break hitting the wood work 6 times. I hate the saying "a game of 2 halves" but this was the definitaion of that saying.

Auburn 6 figtree 0 Great effort from our boys to beat a strong figtree team. Too good today and too good all year. Back to back grand champions, state cup champions and now champion of champions.
Super effort by all concerned, and not unexpected. sorry I couldn't be there to see it. Let's hope we can find a way for the team as a whole to take the step up to be Parramatta's 18 Youth team in 'twenty thirteen. Special congratulations to Sir Alex and John.

Auburn, what a great result guys. I dont think Ive seen u play that well all season. U dominated form the opening minute and never really let them in. They had half chances but only half. Sir Alex, John and the boys well done,....and from the rest of us in Division 1,,,,,,pls move up boys, you are good enough.....lol...enjoy the off season
Well done to Auburn. Obviously a gun side being able to do what they have done over the last couple of years.
Watched the O45's final today & it was good to see a club side, Inter Lions representing Canterbury, beat a composite side from Southern Districts. Surely having these teams in the COC's is not what the competition is all about. It should only be for club sides representing their districts. Do the right thing Football NSW & change this for next season!!
Inter won 4-3 in the penalty shootout after the scoreline finished at 2-2.
Southern were the better team & went to a 2-0 lead but once Inter pulled one back just after Southerns second, the tide turned in Inters favour & I think that they just shaded Southern overall.
There are many older than me & I hope that I will still be playing at some of their ages but then again, how I use to feel on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday mornings after Saturdays I am not sure how long I will be able to keep going.
BTW, Is it next year or the year after that you will be able to have a run with us 'old blokes'?
