I'm a Rydalmere AAM5's player and have been following this forum (in particular the comments directed at my team) with somewhat amusement for some time now. I'm not here to get into the child-like behaviour preceded by others on here but rather to commend whoever it was from the Winston Hills Club that was responsible for organising the referee for yesterday's game v your 'Whites' team. The referee took charge from before the kick off and made it clear that all he wanted was to facilitate a good, clean and fair contest and we all enjoyed ourselves. For those who've made comments our ability, I welcome free speech......comments founded on a base of limited knowledge and experience should be taken with a grain of salt! I challenge anyone from any team that could lay claim to better goals than two of the goals in our 3-1 victory yesterday.....one involved a passage of play with 7 or 8 passes and fluent movement off the ball finished with a sublime volley that would have left no chance for any keeper.....second involved a quick counter attack raid down our right flank with a cross whipped in and our striker finishing with a spectacular overhead bicycle kick of world class standard..... Thank you also to the Winsto Whites team who played the game in a great spirit and who kept us on our toes for the entire match
From what we know, we play rydlemere this week. Last night Auburn lost to rsl p/l side after leading with 4 min to go. They equalised and finished off stronger in extra time, winning 3-1. Ref was very average, putting it nicely
Result is still pending from last night. Going to assume the decision will be whether to charge the team or the individual and the points situation. Hopefully its sorted out by today so we can finish the season off knowing whats happening
Round 15 catchup match against Rydalmere resulted in a 2-1 win to Rydalmere, thereby eliminating the sky blues from the finals series, if it becomes a series at all. With the weather forecast being rain for Tuesday through Friday, I wouldn't be too confident of much happening next weekend.
