Well Mal,If you loose 10 Players why would you really disappoint in them players for leaving,We were really looking forward to playing in Division 1,5 have gone to rage 1 to Rydalmere its a shame this team had been together for the past 5 years its sad for the other boys that stayed on,Anyway good luck to all.
A thrashing 5-1 win today against st pats Fairfield who knocked us out of the state cup in golden goal, a terrible first half but redeemed ourselves in the second half by scoring 4 goals half time score was 1-1 well done merrylands!!
Auburn Fc had a Trial game against Blacktown Workers fc Under 15s/2 team .This Blacktown Worker FC team played first division last year,Auburn FC played with 10 new player added to the Squad Auburn FC beat Blacktown workers FC 8-0.Well done Auburn FC
unfortunately at this late stage Lidcombe have had to withdraw the U15/1 team from the comp due to the previous coach walking out on them and nobody including parents putting their hand up. Granville have been informed and I offer my apologies to you on the fact you will now have a bye in division 1.
The players from Lidcombe who have been with us for several years have been amalgamated into our 16/3's and some will go back to Regents Park, not sure about the others
Hi refsdad not good news for the comp , but to put some of the players on 16/3 is a pathetic decision a division 3 is a division for players where the skills are not as good as a division 1 team . Feel sorry for the teams competing on that division is not fair in my only opinion
3 players out of 14, all a year younger and coming up from Div 2 last year having started out in 12/4's and worked their way up.
On top of which they have all played at the club since U6's, do you think we should just cut them loose beacuse of the low act of the coach, no we are rewarding loyalty for staying at the club for 10 years and they didn't want to go to another club
Its a shame Refsdad Lidcombe Under 15s were a very good sqaud but to be honest never liked the Coach very unfriendly played you guys 4 times last year Auburn fc Played Lidcombe in the grand final Lidcombe were undefeated and were minor premiers but lost the grand final to Auburn fc,Auburn fc was looking forward to be going up to first division but lost 10 players ,I am sure Lidcombe Waratahs were looking forward to playng in first division as well.Anyway Refsdad good luck and hope all goes well for you guys this.
Merrylands SFC having three trial games over the past week, versing : Granville Rage - Half time score was 2-0, Merrylands Way, full time score 3-2, Merrylands Victory Patrician Brothers College Fairfield - Half time score was 1-1, full time score 5-1, Merrylands Victory A.C United - Half time score was 1-0, United way, full time score 4-1, United Victory
Games were good overall but during the A.C United game, the goals conceded were poor as one was of a corner, next off a penalty, next own goal, last goal was considered to be offside but the ref didn't call it !
Word on the street is that Regents parks under 15s players that had gone to Lidcombe Waratahs have come back and have put a Under 15s team together and they might be in Division 1 Taking Lidcombe Waratahs place so Mal you might have a 10 team comp now good luck.Auburn fc decided to stay in division 2 after loosing 10 players,But now we have gained very talented players from around the area maybe we should of gone up,Anyway good luck to all.

Can someone explain how Auburn FC can decide to "stay in Div 2" since when does a club get the choice, They claim to have lost 10 players but replaced with others who apparently are very talented? Were they not the Grand Final winners in Div 2 last year? They should automatically move into Div 1. I dont believe Ermington had a choice last year and were unable to win a game
