Notty Bad luck today , you are right about Toony they are a good side , however not easy when you are a couple of players short and then injuries kick in . Thanks for the report and good luck with your guys injuries and make a quick recovery .
cheers baulkobob - i couldn't get my match report in as i was rushing to get to parramatta stadium in time for kick-off (got there about 30 seconds too late).
a good hard game today - greystanes are happy because it's the first time we've ever come away from that field not having been beaten! there's something about the size that calls for a complete rethink of the way we're used to playing. that opening 15 minutes you guys just left us for dead knowing how to use the tight spaces well.
have to say, i thought 2-2 would have been a much more accurate scoreline - the penalty that pulled you guys level was extremely ludicrous, but then the ref did his best to even things up by awarding us one that was just as stupid. however, the result was, as you say, fair, with both teams having their good phases in a game that was, across the 80 minutes, quite even.

Hi all, Another bit of sad news I have just received was a young man playing for Granville Rage 15/1 blacks has lost his battle with cancer today. With most of us having kids around this young mans age I'm sure everyone can understand how the poor family and friends must be feeling at the moment. My thoughts go out to them at this very upsetting time.

Cream Looking forward to the Cream and Mrtangerine contest on the weekend when Winsto clash with Kville Blacks on Saturday. Cream look out for me i will be wearing the Tangerine coloured shirt. Who will get bragging rights after this one and who puts in the best and most accurate match report. Tangy

Cream Good to see that over confidence is still part of your game. This some what is going to be your weakness when the Winsto boys show up on Saturday along with some our new off season signings in which you might know some of these boys. The closest you will get to goals will be when Tangy slots a few away and you pick the ball out of the back of your own net. Mate can't wait looking forward to a great match up and a match report to back it up from The Master!!!!!!
and that's how it finished, flame. an even opening 20 minutes looked promising, then greystanes lost some organisation in their substitutions, leaving the whites space to put in 2 well taken goals on the counter. from there, things went very pear shaped, with a third goal via the penalty spot and greystanes left with 10 players for the remaining 50 odd minutes. a 4th goal, a rocket from the edge of the penalty area really finished the game as a contest before half time.
the second half was actually a bit better from greystanes point of view, who managed to create some chances, but two finishes on open goals, one by a whites' striker, one blasted in by a greystanes defender, left the score at 6-0.
the game was played in excellent spirits - i don't recall a single malicious challenge across the 80 minutes. thanks to kellyville, in spite of the scoreline!
A few harsh words from the ville coach aimed at his 2 star strikers before the game who were none from 2 games (he forgot about the 35 they scored last year) seemed to fire them up, after a very even 1st 25 mins they sprung in to action,2 quick fire goals soon shut him up and put the ville in control, A pen and a send off soon followed 3-0 ville then one of the villes defenders got his 1st goal in 10 years when the normally reliable stanes keeper fumbled one in to the back of the net (own goal in my opinion), Stanes battled well in 2nd half only conceding 2 more, aggree with Abjec game played in great spirits,
1-1 lidcombe baulko The one that got away? Whilst lidcombe played well, we had their measure for the most part. Up 1-0 at half time after a nice corner from ozzy to Brent. Could have been more. A near disaster after half time (BB didn't listen to the coaches chat and nearly gifted one away), and a scrappy second half in the wind. We had most of the running but couldn't finish it off. Lidcombe snuck one in with the wind off a corner and pushed hard for the last 15 mins. We were down to 11 but hung in there. Some "interesting" ref decisions, but to be fair he was equally bad both ways so play on. We'll win one soon lads, hang in there. I'm baulkobob.

Princef##khead How about you go back to where ever you came from and do what you do best . Which is probably nothing because you don't have a team to play for as nobody wants you. Obviously you don't have anything better to do but to get on this forum and make stupid comments like your previous and only post .

Winsto 2. Kville blacks 2 Game started with Winsto dominating first 10 min and gifted a 1 nil lead with an own goal by the blacks. However the blacks started to then hit back with some good passing and to their credit they set up a nice goal to even things up. 1 all half time. Second half saw some good soccer by both teams and the game was evenly poised when a penalty was awarded to the blacks( a some what weird decision by the ref , but that's soccer) the penalty was rocketed over the cross bar and the score remained at 1-1. The next 10 mins was dominated by the blacks and a soft freaky goal put the blacks up 2-1. Winsto then lifted playing some good soccer and the blacks were getting tired, Winston score of a cleared corner 2-2. The last 10 mins were still dominated by Winsto creating most of the chances however no goals prevailed and the score remained 2-2. A great hard fought game played by both teams.
P.S Cream your earlier prediction was way off and I didn't see those 2 goals you were supposed to score. Good game mate and see you in the next round. Tangy
The first half was all Winsto - they dominated possession and territory. The Kolts were left to play some counter attacking football and were extremely lucky to go in at 1-1. The second half saw the Kolts get some possession and territory, more thanks to the wind at the backs than anything else. The territory resulted in a missed pen and a goal from a great set move corner. The equaliser came for Winsto as they took control for the remainder of the match and managed to get one back from their own corner. KV were very lucky to get away with a draw and might have snatched a totally undeserved win had yours truly managed to finish a late breakaway.
Stan and The Captain will never achieve Oko status.
