Draft draw on the Granville website.
Has us playing your boys Round 1 Bobo.
Winsto white vs Pendle Hill Blk 1pm at Masonics Kellyville White vs Lidcombe 1pm at Bernie Mullane Rydalmere FC vs Kellyville Blk 3pm at Rydalmere park Pendle Hill White vs Granville Waratah 3pm at Binalong Newington vs Winsto Blk 3pm at Wilson Park.
Will probably all change but at least we can see the teams in our comp.
Hey fellas, I'm from Newington. We were the minor premiers in the 10's last year but lost the grand final to what I presume is pendo white. I think Kellyville white might be from the 10's last year as well. Should be a good competitive comp with Lidcombe who also were the 11's minor premiers and if winsto and Rydalmere came down from the 8's. Don't know anything about Granville. Hopefully not the same team that caused all that trouble 2 years ago
Just to clarify, Granville Waratahs div 9 is pretty much the same team from North Rocks div 10 team twenty thirteen.
Most of the players in these division are either new to the game or moved down from elite levels to enjoy playing with mates. In saying that, football is a physical game and players will be tackled or fouled, as leaders we need to keep level headed and reduce any anti-social behaviour through intervening when sensing issues on the field.
I am predicting that 50-60% of our games will be without an official ref, so its up to everyone to uphold the harmony.

Winsto White 3 Pendo Black 2
13 on 11 to start the game and we were well on top in the opening exchanges, taking a 2-0 lead early on. Turned into an arm wrestle for the rest of the half both teams having chances but not being able to convert. Second half and Pendo had a 12th player turned up. The fresh legs must have helped because the second half was all Pendo and our 2 goal lead evaporated pretty quickly. Pendo had all the momentum and were camped in our half but we jagged a goal on the counter and that turned out to be the match winner. Pendo without at least 3 of their best players I could see, including Bobo. Will be tough to beat at full strength.

Rydalmere 1 Kellyville Black 10
Rydalmere got off to an early lead before Kellyville piled on 10 goals throughout the match on possibly the worlds smallest field known to man. As usual no ref or sideline officials but it was still a clean friendly game. I do feel sorry for the Rydalmere team though, it seems like its going to be a long season for them as I don't think they'll be able to match many of the other teams in this division. The score could've easily been 20 but for their keeper who was probably the best player on the field and would've saved at least 10 shots on target.
Half the players in our team played Div 9 for Kellyville last year (didn't make finals) and the other half have come from other clubs. The Kellyville White team is basically the same team from Div9 last year who came 4th.
The game was played at Ray Marshall reserve as Pendle hills home game. The grass deprived both teams of playing football as it was long and heavy. In the opening exchange Pendle Hill dominated midfield which placed relentless pressure on the back four without any success. Pendo lost a little concentration and paid for the opening goal with a marvellous individual strike putting Granville 1 goal up, however the joy was short lived as Pendo placed a beautiful trough ball and finished decisively.
Another similar play bared fruit for Pendo but this time the Granville player slid and clipped the pendo player and the ref pointed to the spot which was converted, it was 2-1 at half time.
Both team really feeling the heat and the high intensity of the first half when the Waratahs equalised after the break with a brilliant team move and finished off from close range. 2-2 and pendo replied back from a swift cross into the goal with an unmarked player standing next to the post. 3-2 Waratahs through all there players upfield and got caught on the counter attack with a shot from an angle,4-2 but Granville rallied and scored again to make it 4-3 and it became a boxing match, where both team was off there feet. a handball in the box from a Granville saw Pendo back on the spot making it 5-3.
Granville scored with 10min on the clock giving it a grand stand finish but it finished 5-4.
Great game played in good spirits and a shout to the official which made some fantastic decision.

The Granville website is pretty quick with the results this year. From the site: Lidcombe beat Rydalmere by forfeit 3-0 Newington beat Kellyville Black 3-2.
Winsto White beat Winsto Blk 3-2. Not a great day for us, though very happy with the win. A couple of injuries to some key players will make the next few games tricky. Winsto Blk are a good team, if they can get more than 11 to a game I think they'll beat some of the more fancied teams out there. We never looked like blowing them off the park yesterday but their keeper did have a great game and when they levelled at 1-1 late in the first half alarm bells were ringing. But we finally managed to put a couple more past their wall-like keeper before a last minute penalty made the last 60 seconds a mad scramble. Happy for the week off this week to get a bit healthy.
