The trials for the met west teams were on earlier today at Ray Marshall (found out just now from friends of friends). I am involved in a team where the girls would have enjoyed having a crack at this, even if just for experience. It is apparently supposed to be for girls who reside in the Blacktown, Granville and Nepean Association boundaries.
There has been no communication from Granville via email (I'm the ladies convenor for my club and nothing was mentioned at recent delegates meeting) and nothing on the Granville website at all (other than the Ladyhawks progress in 2011). So, I don't know how girls from this district are supposed to get involved.
I wonder if it was planned this way (only the girls in Premier and State League told about the trials). That way they don't have to "waste time" looking at the girls from district football.
It's a pity because there are many girls playing in our district who could play Premier League but can either not afford the fees or the time to travel. this was certainly poor form from our association to not advertise this chance.
This is a while ago now but i eventually received a response from the organiser (only after a whinge to FNSW), he claimed that GDSFA refused to pass on information about the event despite it being provided to them.
