Merrylands beat Castle Hill 2-0. 2 quick early goals had Castle Hill on the back foot. Boys had a really good game after losing their last couple of games. This game is a clear eye opener who will the top team of the season. Well done boys!

CHRSL defeated Newington 3-0 RSL very sluggish in 1st half and we're lucky to be ahead 2-0 at the break. 2nd half display much better, but will need to find more consistency if they are to realise their true potential. Big match up next week against Parra City Any other results??

Hopefully after the "debacle" at Regents Park last Saturday, GDSFA has the common sense to ensure a black & white official is allocated for all of the RP U16/1 home games. Here are my predictions for this weekend.......as if anybody cares! Baulko 2 .v. CHU 2 Parra C 2 .v. CHRSL 3 Newington 1 .v. Merrylands 4 Auburn 2 .v. Regents Park 2 Sunday Merrylands 4 .v. Regents Park 0
Good luck to both Parra City & Castle Hill RSL in the State Cup round 3 this Sunday!

I am told no official referee RP .v. Parra - match abandoned after about 15 mins with players & spectators involved. I was not there & do not wish to comment further, however an earlier post here suggested lack of official referees at RP home games was going to be a major issue, a prediction which unfortunately seems to have materialised. Quite possibly both parties were at fault, my comment is purely to use common sense & provide a GDSFA Black & White for all RP Div 1 games to reduce the possibility of any further problems. We just want our kids to play soccer!

What a difference a day makes......CHRSL ordinary against Parra City in 3-1 loss on Saturdey, then absolutely awesome today in State Cup with a cracking 5-0 win against Campbelltown Uniting Church, who are top 2 in their competition. Hopefully Parra City also won today.
Auburn fc beat Regents Park 3-1 on Saturday But I have noticed that Regents Park Under 16/1s have not updated their score results for some time, Competition table shows they only have played 3 games. Castle Hill RLS Congratulations on your State Cup win on the Weekend

CHRSL 2 Auburn 1 Well done Auburn, big improvement from earlier round. Game played with no official referee, but in very good spirit. Both teams & coaching staff deserve credit for the positive and sportsmanlike attitudes displayed by all. Special mention to Auburn goalkeeper who had a cracking game.
Merrylands defeat Parramatta City 2-1. Merrylands scoring the first goal. Then Merrylands keeper getting a red card about 10 minutes into the second half which changed the mode of the game. It was a challenge which deserved a yellow card at the most. Parramatta City dominating Merrylands for the remaining of the game. Merrylands then being fortunate to get a penalty put them in the lead at 2-0. Parramatta City having Merrylands on the back foot score with 10 to go. Having a number of close chances, Merrylands defender got taken out badly, resulted in the ambulance being called, with more then 3/4 of the game being played, the red called the game and it finished at 2-1. Good game from both teams.
