What happens to points table relating to a team that has withdrawn from the competition ?? In 17/1s Granville Kewpies have folded. So what will teams that were suppose to play them end up as forfeits ?? Or are all games including previous removed from the season as null & void ??
While it is unfortunate that Pendle Hill lost their only 2 games of the season in the semi's and finals, their season is far from over. They achieved their main objective of the Minor Premiership and now straight to the quarter finals of Champion of Champions where I am sure they will put up a very strong showing.
Sorry, BJ - don't get me wrong but no team plays to enter Champions of Champions... That is a by product of having a good season. All teams play to make the grand final and unfortunately for your boys, they fell short this year...
Good luck to them in this new competition and hopefully it doesn't also end in disappointment, however watching them play today, if they hold shape and play football they should do themselves and the district proud....
Redcard we have always played to win the Championship first and if in 1st Division get to play Champion of Champions which very few get the opportunity to play. Have always considered the Grand Final to be a bonus not the other way around as anything can happen in the 1 or 2 games of the final series and more than often does not reflect the season. Dont get me wrong but both PC and CHU played better on the day in the final series and good luck to them both in the Grand Final.
Congratulations to the Parramatta City boys who won their Grand Final with a 2 -1 result. The game finishing 1 - 1 in normal time after a Castle Hill equalised in the 77th minute.. The winner came within a few minutes of extra time. Well done to all involved and thanks to Winston Hills for hosting. The Mediterranean feast and refreshments provided by the Parramatta City club was also appreciated.
