Castle hill 2 Kellyville 2 Good enjoyable game that had both sides start with the bare 11. Castle hill up 1 nil midway through first half and playing ok. Second half Kellyville got a couple of reserves and we lost a player to injury around 15 minutes into the 2nd half. We managed to get another goal to go up 2 nil but really tired late in the half and conceded 2 goals in the last 12 minutes. Good effort with no reserves and playing with 10 most of the 2nd half.
Kellyville good side to play and good fellas. Need a couple more players as cant play with bare 11 each week.

so am i hearing this right, more than half of last years div 3 now playing 2's. Norwest dont go to division 1. Effectively not being moved up a grade. What the?? Whats their mascot? Are they known as the Norwest Pirates, Burglars, Thieves Bucaneers, Hoarders, i think the best one is the Mr Sheens as they will need to polish another trophy at years end. saw a portion of their game today v Winsto while the Bears looked Ok in the 2nd half the Mr Sheens's goalkeeper was hardly threatened. The association need to be asked why arent these guys playing in the division 1.
Relax boys - seen Norwest play they are ok , champion of champions what a joke , they would get smashed. Kellyville div 1 would put 5 past them no issue. Agree with letisswannabe - it is Granville that should have put them in div 1 - why are they in 2 ?? The Axe Has Spoken !!
Grand final replay from last season, unfortunately for the same result. Winsto struggled to put a fit 11 on the pitch, even borrowing from the 4's. Norwest dominated first half and went to the break 2 up due to some dodgy keeping and poor defending. Second half was a different story with Winsto getting stuck in and getting a beautifully taken goal back, had a chance or two to even it up but it wasn't to be. Has been a long off season for some with our keeper proving to everyone just how long with his efforts for the 3rd goal.............oh well I'm sure I will get better as the season progresses.
If that's the best Norwest have got, they won't beat everyone in the 2's this season. They looked a little different from last season.
Thanks to the unofficial ref for stepping in which allowed us to play with the full 11.

Well Norwest 9 Castle hill 0. Might have been 10 not sure. We played with 10 after 15 minutes as Achilles injury to our left back ended his game and another couple injured from last week and we were really up against it. We were not at our best but really I cant believe that this team wants to play 2nd division and just cruise through as they are a great side that pass the ball around with pace and accuracy and do not have 1 weak link at all.
Call me a whinger all you want but these guys are kidding themselves playing 2nd division and should step up and have a crack. Granville have been told many times by different people that this team should be in Div 1 but no one seems to listen.

Commiserations Mattyunited. No side deserves to get a thumping like that. Perhaps all teams in the 2's should make good on a suggestion on another thread and forfeit all games against the Norwest Burglars. It would only take 3 or 4 weeks for someone in the association to sit up and listen. I know thats against the spirit of why we play and to have an enjoyable afternoon playing football but all we ask for is a reasonably even and level playing field.....
Bula. So, The Norwest abuse bandwagon continues. Last week they won against a team with lots of injuries, and by a couple of goals which they were lucky to do so by all accounts. This week they beat s team with lots of injuries and 10 men. Last season they beat some poor teams by a good margin and scraped a few wins in Div 3. They move up a division, as they should and after all the moaning last season, and the league make this Division as it is. Perhaps you whiners are in the wrong Div and sre playing above your own standard. They are a team that don't whine or moan, and get the results because they play as a team and grind it out. Give it a rest, sort your own teams out, and just play the beautiful game. Good luck Norwest, good luck all teams, and enjoy the season.

Jameel are you serious. You are now 22 wins nil defeats from 22 games. Did you check your goal difference last year. You are in all reality playing the same comp as last year. The 2 goal win you refer to last week was against last years 2nd best team in div 3. I saw all bar the last 10 mins of that game. How many shots on goal did they have? By my count 3. Bar a 10 or so minute patch in that game in the 2nd half you where clearly superior. Unless you guys tank in the next 3 or so games to avoid a regrade i cannot see you guys conceding any more than ten goals this year. Enjoy your season and hope your keeper doesn't catch a cold in the cooler weather to come.
I don't play for Norwest. How were they to know who was in this league. They moved up, as they should, As pointed out, they beat the team that also went up from Div 3 and by normal logic, the games against the teams that were already in Div 2 and who came down from Div 1 should be tougher. Sounds like you players have already lost before you go on the pitch, which is pretty sad for old dudes. Anyway, Nothing to do with me. Let's hope there are teams out there that believe, it's really not that hard. Good luck, be positive & happy!
Funny thing is Jameel no one came down from 35/1 and top four from 35/2 went up. Pendo and Rams (both ageing sides) from 35/2 last year will give Norwest a run if at full strength. Norwest have not really been promoted, yes they moved up a division, but it's probably no stronger than last season.
Fair point Mac, but who's to know that prior to the season starting. The aggression shown to those boys should be aimed at the decision makers in the league, who obviously believe that they have the best teams in Div1. Last season was clearly an error on their part (Norwest), judging by the season, however without knowing the standard of the leagues it was a decision made for their 1st season. Plus, it's the past. Surely the teams from Div2 last season feel confident? As Letis says, time will tell. All I say is, they're a good bunch, so attacking them with names is a little low. Just attack them on the pitch (football wise). Good luck
Not sure where you're getting name calling from - and I think all posts are directed at Granville putting them in the wrong comp possibly now 2 years in a row considering teams that shouldn't have been promoted as such have been thrown up. But I have a little faith I think they will look at it at and regrade accordingly.

The first game that Norwest played against Winston Hills they had a couple of their better players not playing as I was told on Saturday. I really hope someone can get at least a point of this mob if they are to stay in Div 2
