Anyway. Our side Castle Hill RSl have plenty of injuries so early in the season and will have to battle on with the bare 11 for a while until we get a couple back. Looks like a long season for us. We did ask for Div 3 as we lost a heap of players that have played for the past 5 or 6 years and our side is certainly not a div 2 side but we will turn up and give it our all each week and try and enjoy the year.
Matty, I haven't seen any games but the post about the 1st game was that winsto were unlucky and your latest post says that your team should be in Div 3, so it will be interesting to see what actually happens when Norwest play against some other teams. I'd heard they'd picked up a couple of players but had lost a couple of starters as well as Giggsy, so that's not easy to replace. Good luck for the season
They have some pretty chunky dudes still, you're right! You should stop being beaten before you get on the pitch and give it a go (surely you learnt that at school ). Maybe not the Norwest Burglars but the Norwest BurgerEaters #5
Lidcombe 2-1 over Ville. Hard fought win for the reds who were down to 10 men towards the end of the first half with a send off (defender was unfortunate, but had to go as Ville forward about to tap into open net). The resulting pen made it 1-1, however Lid back in front before the break and then held on for the win Ville didn't make the extra man count and just couldn't control the ball (like to say the 2 weeks off had an effect, but it didn't seem to bother the reds) Huge shout out to the young lad (Ville player, qualified ref) who stepped in and reffed the game. Even if the Ville had got up I doubt the Reds would have blamed the refereeing. We won't get many better this year

Parra City 4 Castle Hill 3 Good enjoyable game on Sat with the bare 11 once again and 10 at some points of the game. up 1 nil early against a very good side that pass the ball well and look fairly sharp at times. We did start to tire late in the fist half and were down 3-1 at half time.
Second half we really tried our guts out and 2 late goals ( 1 and absolute cracking header from Sozzy ) and it was 4-3. ran out of time but thought we deserved a point.
Parra City are good fellas and good to play against with no dramas at all. Official ref who was great bar a hand ball Penalty against us that was clearly ball to hand that were by his side.
See Norwest had another narrow victory 7-1 I think.

Parra City are a good 2nd division side but are no where near Norwest and we have played both. 9-0 loss to Norwest and we had a very narrow 4-3 loss to Parra city where we really should have got a point.
7-1 (regardless of when they were scored) is 7-1. Evidence of the 3 games played (17 for and 2 against) suggests a similar story as last year for Norwest I'm not in the Norwest bashing camp. I do believe if they knew how easy last year was going to be they wouldn't have contested being put into Div 2 last year. Next year they'll be in the Div they should be in
Norwest 4 Kellyville 0. 2 nil at half time, Kellyville battled well but Norwest are too good and should be in Div.1. I think this has been said before!!!! Should be a good game between them and Parra City this Saturday. Even though we haven't played Parra it looks like they might give Norwest a run for their money based on their results so far.
