Ville 4-2 WH White. Whites turned up with 9 and went 1-0 up (I think from a corner). Ville eventually (laboriously) got it to 2-1 with a couple of tap ins after stops by the Whites keeper. Whites up to 10 men before the first half whistle. Whites equalised before the numbers and lack of subs (Ville had a sub all game) caught up with them Big wraps for the Whites for turning up with 9 and having a go
With a third of the season gone, looks like Norwest and Parra and perm 2 from Lidcombe, WH Black, Baulko and Pendo (WH Blacks to come good- as they did last year in 3's) for the final 4
Just a thought, if we whinge about grading this year, what's going to happen next year when (and I think this is right after a quick count) there are 20 teams from the top 4 div who will play in Hills assoc., then add how many from other assoc. joining?
Depends on how many teams come in. If it's less than those not coming over then the spread of depth over the divs is going to increase (bigger difference between the top and bottom teams in each div)
Next problem is going to be are the divs comparable in the Hornsby and Gladesville comps? How nervous will teams be to nominate for the "correct" div? Or will it just be like every year where 50% of the teams nominate at least a div down and it all works out/we get to whinge on the blog.....

Saw the Baulko v Norwest game....0 v 3
1st goal came after some confusion following a grub act from #2 for Norwest. Shoving a player in the back when they are not looking is not Football. Ref and linesman missed it and they scored. Otherwise very close half in the end and was entertaining to watch.
2nd half had more niggling little kicks and pushes but nothing compared to the #2 grub act. Norwest second goal was a good one and came from some lax marking from Baulko. Goal 3 ... total miss kick from Norwest but still ended in the back of the net.
From what I saw both Norwest and Baulko are a good bunch of blokes.....lets see how the grub plays in the reverse fixture.

Ha yeah, grub, probably a bit flattering, the halfwit continued for most of the first half crapping on about a fight after the game. The boys from Norweat good bunch of fellas, but should tell old mate to not smoke crack just before the game, this is the guy by which your team will be measured, throw him off, he is not a fit for you blokes and really offers F all. Better team won on the day, second goal was a great finish.
Now for all the BS floating around the forum about these guys and division one, sorry not a hope, the boys making the noise have obviously never played 35 1's, they are at best a good div2 team. Good luck for the rest of the year, see you guys round two, hopefully old mate grubby is back in weekend detention where he belongs, then he can offer all the back door attention he wants.

Pendo 1 Castle Hill 0
Good hard game with a penalty midway through the 2nd half the difference in the end. We nearly went up 1 nil early but a great save from the Pendo goalie kept the cores level. Pendo good bunch of blokes with a few laughs had during the game. We had the bare 11 once again and ended up with 9 for the last 5 minutes due to injuries. We cant take a trick this year with numbers but still enjoying the football.
Ville 2-0 WH Blacks. WH Blacks turned up with an army (5 subs), not sure it did them any favours. Ville started with 11 and although 2 more arrived, finished with 11 due to injuries. Very clean game, WHB a good bunch of guys. Good B&W in attendance. Enjoyable arvo, with Ville finishing being the difference
What is there to say about this game. Bernie Mullane at night does not get about 5 degrees celsius so thermal undies, jumpers and a log fire were required for this game. Kellyville got the 1st goal on from a free kick that was luckily headed in. A little bit of push and shove but not much. Good B&W with linesman. Half time into the sheds to warm up and it was 1-0 to the home side.
Baulko started strong in the 2nd half with a great free kick - that hit the back of the next and then some fancy footwork by their midfield lead to their next goal. Kellyville had a chance to square things up with a one on one with the keeper but did not make most of the chance. Scrappy game but I think the better side won on the night.
Catch up game from round 3 played on a chilli evening, but played in good spirits from both teams.
Wasn't a great spectacle with both teams having the bare 11 and backing up from the weekend. WHT struck early with what can be called a scrappy goal at best, quick reply from BLK from a nice through ball.
2nd half both teams had chances to put the game to bed, both keepers called into action. With 5 minutes to go, BLK Keeper was sent-off (sorry boys) for what was "deny obvious goal scoring opp", cant complain with the decision. WHT converted penalty to take the chocolates.
Just cant seem to put a solid 80min together yet this season, i'm sure our time will come.
Haha Stopper. not the voice of reason. I did not make enough money through the EPL, Seria-A, Bundesliga and A League when I played (also pissed up most of it against a wall) so I am just a bloke that needs to go to work on a Monday morning to earn a quid to feed the family and give money to the Banks of Australia for the roof over my head. So I, like all of the other players, want to keep my limbs where they are and in the same proportions.
Happy playing......Happy scoring ...... and even more Happy drinking after the game.
