Not exactly sure why the councils are keeping grounds closed till Thursday and not re-assessing and opening up grounds earlier, Leichhardt Council (GROUNDS OPEN), Kurringai Council (GROUNDS OPEN), Hornsby Council (Grounds closed this morning, ALL OPEN NOW), Paramatta,Holroyd, Hills area (GROUNDS CLOSED), obviously checked early in the morning and no time to go back and re-check in the afternoons, CRAZY and does not make sense, maybe Granville can add a couple of dollars in the admin. fees and then split it up within the councils and have the council organise better flowing drainage or even better look at artificial pitches, Football NSW keeps making noise that they will assist and work with councils in having better grounds BUT you never see anything happen.
Very conservative approach from Granville based councils.
Kolts got into bed with the council and paid for 50% of the drainage put in to all 4 fields (and flood lights). Maybe that is why they have had approval to play catch up games tonight and tomorrow (fields have drained)
I drove passed Ted Burge and Merrylands ovals this afternoon they look like they need a good hair cut before the weekend, that is probably why they are still closed till Thursday. But apart from that it is looking good for the weekend
