I'm wondering if Bankstown district will be running an U/20's comp next year. A friend of mine is looking for a team for his boy to play in. Prefers the Bankstown comp coz he got sick of driving to Castle hill. Any inside info is greatly appreciated. Cheers !

Breaking News !!!!! There has emerged a faction in BDAFA that feels it can run a comp independently of the association. Clubs from the specific area of Bass Hill, Chester Hill and Potts Hill have secretly met and are disgruntled with the distance they have to travel to play at Panania. The club in Mt Lewis also tried to get in on this clique, but soon learned there is a world of difference between mountains and hills. As too the good folks from Georges Hall, who submitted their form with a very convenient typo that turned them into Georges Hill. But those Bankstown Hills folks are a wee bit too sharp for that old chestnut. The new logo will be a light plane climbing sharply to avoid a hill. The local member feels that this will strike a chord with many of his constituents, and will now put his weight behind the push. He is organising a sausage sizzle ( sans bacon )funded by his party's slush fund, at Bankstown square to thrust this great idea to the masses( or whatever other service you pray in ) The Bankstown Hills Football Association ... BHFA ... recently approached FNSW for sanctionment and was taken aback by their reply of " Oh ffs, not this crap again " But undaunted, they will push forward and create this micro-comp. It's what their members want, after all. For the first 3 years, Bass Hill will keep playing Chester Hill, as there are no other real clubs yet. Potts Hill only has 3 members, but they needed an extra club or 2 to bolster the numbers, so it got thrown in as an after thought. They are trying to convince me that Yagoona sounds close enough to Maroota, and so should be included too. If any of you can think of any other suburbs within 40k of Bankstown that have anything remotely sounding like "Hills" in their name, please PM me. Then when we have got like 8 clubs under our banner . . . then we'll show them !!! Something as hair-brained as this has not been tried before, so we will be mapping new ground with each step. Keep an eye out for our facebook page. There will be some simply unbelievable things on there !!
Bankstown Hills Football . . . . . you heard it here first !!!
