Blacks 2-1 mate. Was a hard fought game with Greys getting the winner about 3 or 4 minutes out from full time...
Yep it was a good hard game. Both teams pushed hard right to the last whistle. I thought a draw would have been a fair result but a late winner from Grey Blacks ruined that idea !
Although it was tough to lose in the last few minutes, I must commend the Greystanes guys for giving us a tough no nonsense game. I think it's fair to say that both teams were appreciative of the other for providing the good contest.
My view is Grey Blacks are a better side than Kellyville Black. They will be tough for any team to beat this season.

Holroyd and Kellyville 2-2 in a tough match ,Holroyd 2-0 up coming into halftime when Kellyville awarded the softest penalty I've ever seen the striker going down after a fair tackle , plenty of toing and froing in the second half with a late equaliser coming 5 minutes from the end when our keeper caught a cross then got crushed with a shoulder charge all in all we were very unlucky but credit to Kellyville they kept coming and found a way
I get down to Batho about 5mins into k/o & for the first time old Harry was unable to get a seat in the concrete stand. massive crowd for this one, so with rain belting into my eyes watched a pretty good o/45s game. 2 good strikes at goal & h/t 1-1. Greys started 2half pressing & looked more likely to score, Toony had a few chances but seem to rely on getting the ball to the little quick man A.S.A.P. My view greys played better football & deserved the victory.
First game of the season for me and Greys looked the goods. Solid across the park and tucked a nice goal in late to win it. Great tuff game in good spirits. A big season for Greys and the opposition set for a good season also. Loved getting back to the park and watch some football.
With a little rain on Saturday, the waterman is back.. Too early to say who might win the comp but the big game between toony and greys showed that these 2 will be up there and the best part was the game played in really good spirits. Most of the 45s games seem to be the same so looking forward this year.

Ermington and Holroyd shared the points with a 1-1 draw in a tough encounter at George Kendall , 0-0 at halftime the game came to life after the break with Ermo missing a penalty early in the half ,soon after they hit the lead with a nice header from a corner but the green machine lifted and after hitting the crossbar we equalised soon after scrambling one from close range after a free kick ,the match got willing as both teams tried to find a winner with Ermington issued 5 yellow cards a couple of our guys were bruised and battered after this one but the draw was a fair result.
Lidcombe played with 10 men for the whole game. Toonie with 11 for most of the game. Credit to the Lidcombe guys for toughing it out but it was always going to be hard playing a man short. Sounds like a good game between Ermo and Holroyd.
Grey blk should of put that phone call in for a late call up,at least have me on the bench for show. My sauce tells me a Greys up 4-0 & kelly who were very wiling scoring late with a few grey boys out on there feet. Does not matter who you play if playing with 10 it is a hard slog, just ask Lidcombe. Heard a couple of players went down for wanderers game & will be back next week.
WE lost our leading goal scorer to the Wanderers game, possibly could have snuck a win with him in but was a good game. Ermington should have had a sendoff late in the game for a blatant pull from behind with our man free, should have been a 2nd yellow but was only penalized
