Hi OEE, I think most of us know it was a gee up. As was Gibroni's attempt. I heard through the grape vine that you have a Knee injury. Will you be back this year? I await with interest as to why Pendo are not favourites this season. Has GW resigned, said ex Socceroo? I'm enjoying yours and CW's banter on the forum again this year, always make it an entertaining read.
Has Guildford withdraw from the comp? I only ask as PH a due to play them this week and they have forfeited the last couple of rounds.

OEE, This is not the place for gee up's or Fun mate, this is O/35 3's you know and i take this very seriously
Villa, We are a Socceroo free zone this year (well, except for me, who could of been a Socceroo, but was told i was missing 3 things. Skill, ability & a man's body) I'm not sure why OEE does not have them as favourites either, and have no idea when he is playing again. Maybe he is coming back and thinks that his return shoots us to favourites (talk about having tickets on yourself) lol
He must of seen something in one of the others team's i guess and has them as favourites, i wait for his updated market.
Have not heard that Guildford have withdrawn, but it seem's that way.
Also, now that the 1st round has been played, i would like to propose that 2 players are kicked out of the Comp immediately. 1) The Lynchinator (PH) 2) The Dudemeister (Newington)
For obvious reasons.
I just need someone to second my proposal and i will get the appropriate paperwork underway.
Guildford have forfeited against PH tomorrow. Looks like you will all get a well earned BYE this season. Will be heading down to the GW match tomorrow to see if they can lift themselves off the canvas. CW will need a bog game to inspire the boys with lots of injuries reducing GW to the bare 11. OEE can you make sure Batesy has the sky well stocked please?
Will do Klopp - Batesy got ribbed last week when he ran out of my beer of choice...with a fine applied to nearly any indiscretion within the GW team Batesy may well have to self impose a fine and add an extra six-pack to the esky to make up for it..
Villa - you hear right...a flipped over (so the MRI Report reads) and torn meniscus in the right knee is the problem. Thought the pain may just go but the old voltaren tablets just aren't doing the job anymore so quick clean out is on the cards....
Will I be back, I'll be pissed if I'm not, time will tell..
Here it is OEE. We were rubbish. After a few weeks of solid form we threw it away yesterday. GW worthy winners, however we did make it easy for them.
2 nil at half time and whilst we had a couple of chances in the 2nd, we gifted them their 3rd which will go down as a GK own goal(sorry Darbs..)
Great to catch up with some old mates on the day, hoping we can get back to some form next week for the Winsto derby.
Predictions: We have blown out in the odds but not giving up, saying that I feel anyone from 2nd -7th can beat each other on their day. Last 3 weeks we have seen Newington go down to us but beat GW easily and then GW doing same to us yesterday. Not that it matters OEE, PH are morals mate. By far the best team in the league.
I have been told that the Parra City team has change completely. Some/most of the older guys started/joined the O35 Div 5 side and the O35 3s have recruited well. Maybe that has been the reason for the upturn in results. Hopefully the rain passes and I can find out first hand on Saturday just how different this team is compared to the one Pendo beat in round 2.
I will try and make it short, but honestly have we killed a chinaman against this mob or what. RH are a top bunch of guys to play against but we was robbed of a chance to lead mid way through 1st half. Our centre forward clear on goal 12 yards out and gets slide tackled from behind/side. Official b&w calls play on, waits for ball to go out then books their centre back for the tackle.......correct me if I'm wrong but that's a pen or indirect.
RH score just before half time after going down to 10 men after 25min due to injury.
We pressed them but just couldn't break them down in the 2nd half. Didn't help we like many other teams today were playing without 5 key players due the long w-end
Previous post against this mob from Rd 3 and we didn't get a certain pen for hand ball, even they agreed.
Left a bad taste in the mouth. Very thankful to get 3 officials but don't bottle the most important decision of the game.
I did chat at length with him at h-time and he said he thought a yellow was punishment enough and didn't think our guy would have scored......go figure. It's hard to score when you're on the ground!!!!
Same result as the first round with 20 goals in two games. Unfortunately this game was decided before kick off with no official referee available. Prior to the start the Parra City Manager (and as a result most of the team) took offence at Newington requesting to check their player cards. When teams want to check cards it’s not because they think it’s the Euro or World Cup – it’s because some teams do play un-registered players, especially when they are in older divisions and facing issues with injuries. So it would be sensible and appreciated if Managers of teams don’t start trouble before the game has even started, it’s your job to control your team and set the standard.
A big thank you to the official from Newington that refereed the game – however with no yellow or red cards (only a whistle) it unfortunately resulted in an embarrassing performance by a “few” of the Parra City team. The referee was man-handled within the first 10 minutes, there were disputes through-out the game with Parra City players shaping up for what is more accustomed to a Rugby League field not football. There were more incidents but no use going on about it.
By the end of the game players from both teams were just asking the referee to end the game. However after the final whistle it continued whilst players were shaking hands with one PC player taunting the opposition because they lost the game – simply pathetic and especially at this age division. A big thank you to a few of the PC players who apologised on behalf of their team – that was warmly received however you need to take further action or that kind of behaviour will occur every week when those players don’t get things their own way and your team will get an unwanted reputation.
As for the PC line-up their player roster hasn’t changed a lot, they have got a new quality striker but both these teams are not going to give this competition problems at the back end of the season against the likes of Pendle Hill and Granville (who are the two stand-out teams + Rouse Hill if they can get a striker from somewhere to help them scoring goals) if they don’t fix up obvious defensive deficiencies.
A pity this report had to be written, other teams take note it wasn’t a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon, let’s see if there’s any change in behaviour later in the season when these teams meet again. Note to all teams can Managers please set the standard you want your team to follow, you're representing your club as an official and with this comes responsibility.

An unsurprising result. Given the respective sides and a 3rd choice keeper, missing 3 centre backs and a striker that hasn't really been seen since Round 1 it was always gonna be a tough afternoon for the Blks. Haven't had all 4 of our most attacking players on the field since Round 1, funnily enough our only win.
Winsto 1-0 up within 10 mins through a penalty after being brought down running at goal. Pendo taking their chances against a penalty knowing the unofficial ref wouldn't be dishing out a red. I'm sure it wouldn't have changed the result much but may have just been a slightly less painful afternoon ;-)
1-1 half time then it all fell away with many hobbling around as has been all too common this season. Not a bad effort given the team we had and could have been much worse.
A well mannered game and no real problems at all. Let's face it, Pendo never had to get anxious about anything so you wouldn't expect otherwise!
Hopefully some players coming back over the next few weeks and we can at least through a spanner in the works for the finals positions of others.
