PH vs WH White was played hard but with sportsmanship from both teams. The WH keeper is one of the more interesting characters in the comp to say the least!!
Watching PH this week they are definitely showing signs of fatigue as the season rolls along. Lots of blokes hobbling on 1 leg and 2 strikers that are off the mark. Very lucky to get away with the win this week.
OEE. another catch up for you guys will be tough? Especially with the amount of dodgy Hammies amongst your blokes. Batesy will need to step up when you guys head to Binalong in 2 weeks and try to recreate some of his twenty fourteen heroics. I hear the Whisperer is still having counselling after chasing the Lynchenator around for 80 minutes last game. Give him all our best and look forward to seeing you guys in a couple of weeks

G'day Klopp....maybe this rest period was a blessing, time will tell. The boys trained last Thursday and two pulled up with twinges after doing a warm down lap. I told them I have never done one of them in 38 years of playing so why start now I asked.. My best warm down has always been grabbing a cold one from the esky as I head towards the showers..!!
I reckon the Whisperer is priming himself for the return bout. He'll load up on his usual bowl of pasta at about 11am on the day and he'll be ready to rock and roll. Batesy, well he will tell you that he's in fine form after a one sided players player vote went his way the other week. If the Lynchenator get's past the Whisperer he could have Batesy to contend with.
The comp is certainly heating up with some interesting weeks ahead. See you at Bino...!
It's taken me 3 days to get over how we lost....the curse continues. Don't get me wrong, Pendo dominated but we so easily could have snatched all 3 points or at least the draw.
We led after 20 min from a well taken goal only to concede an own goal with the last kick of the first half.
Second half we had some great chances to lead again but just finish let us down. There was an absolute huge shout ( on the field and from the GW boys on the sideline)for a penalty half way through for a double hand ball, Pendo defender fell on the ball and it hit both his arms and they gained an advantage, ref said he saw it hit the arms but didn't think it was intentional........
Then it happened, 17 seconds to go and Pendo scored a great goal from a header. Again last play of the game......
That's football, but gee we have given away some points and also had some taken from us this season.
I reckon they will get rolled very shortly, I thought this was a one team competition but if GW are on song I think they will do them.
Pendo wouldn't be worried about a loss now they'd problem welcome it as opposed to going into the finals undefeated. They've already got the Minor Premiership wrapped up and promotion to Div 2...which they will be ecstatic about I'm sure! Still an open race for second spot Granville the short price fav at present. Then Rouse Hill, Parra & Newington all playing for only two spots.

Coming into this weekends double header, we will not have played in a month & had 1 training run. Way too long a break & will be a big ask for us now unfit players to back up on Sunday. It will be interesting to see how we go and this comp is shaping up really well for a tough battle for positions 2-4.
theklopp I could only afford a day in Counselling at the Rob Schneider institute and was made to sit in a dark room and watch this for 8 hours straight. He is a truely inspirational man. (see link below)
Newington led at half time 1-0 then Pendo got the equaliser with a few minutes remaining. Looks like both teams had players missing through injuries. I'm sure as PH would agree Newington deserved the win but needed to close off the game with a second goal however their shooting on target let them down today. Tough game by two good teams.
Pendo drew nil nil with Parra City. Funny game, City Keeper makes a great save and them starts fighting with the left half. The attack came down the right side, looked like both players were swatting flies. Ref stopped the game and waited for their Captian to sort them out. Tough backing up!
Cuptied. I could agree with some of your comments about the game against PH. Newington looked up for a real challenge and dominated most of the first half. PH keeper kept them in the game with some nice saves. Second half was all PH with waves of chances coming and Newington parking the Bus. Game was pretty good with both teams having the chance to win but a draw was probably deserved.

Sundays game against PC was a tough one with PH having a full bench of injuries to call upon. Both teams struggled a lot with the backup and a 0-0 draw was a tough way to finish the weekend. Still amazes me how some of the PC lads keep playing in this team. A few of their teammates (use the word loosely) just seem to want to whinge about everything that happens. Arguments on the field, punch ups in the goal mouth, abusing other players for making a mistake. Would be an interesting after match beer in that group to say the least.
Anyway it was nice to see the GW lads come down to support PC and give it to PH from the sideline!! Hopefully both teams will have enough fit players for next weekend and the 3pm game at Bino will be a cracker. I may even make a comeback from injury myself and give it to the Whisperer.
A game that had everything, Granville go two up in the first half and miss a penalty so should have been three by half time. Some push and shove got the game fired up. The unofficial ref (Pendo player) did a good job to settle both camps.
Pendo had some players playing busted but more so Granville who were down to 11 after half time and not looking so good for the coming weeks..
This comp is wide open and will be won by the best or fittest team on the day come finals time...

Well it was a weekend for upsets with WHW & us getting up.
I thought that my 5 minutes on the field from the whistle set the foundation & won us the game The fact that I went down like a pile of poo, screaming like a girl really inspired the boys Looks like I could be out for a while & we picked up another couple of injuries including a hamstring, which left us with 1 sick player on the bench. So it was a big effort by the boys to keep battling away for the whole game.
The Lynchinator was running around with 2 rolls of tape holding his calfs & hamstrings together, but it didn't seem to slow him down too much. There was a little bit of a flare up with a Pendo player getting a bit "Stroppy" , but it all settled down quickly and the game continued on.
As OEE said,It is starting to look like a really open comp & the team that can get a good fit side together come Finals will take it out.
