SirAlex as always a pleasure playing you boys. We also have a few new faces. We have been hit by another epidemic " of season ending injuries to key players" so we are stretched at the moment. It's been an interesting time at the ville recently..... Plenty of new teams. Not sure what to expect. Not a fan of the Comp layout though. Don't understand how you have 13 teams and only play a select few twice each? The whole point is to play home and away.... Stupidity if you ask me. Rather limit it to a 10 team Comp to ensure consistency. I'm just amazed Granville have the fixtures for the entire season up already.... Hats off

Ressies vs Dragons 2-4..... Tough game for our reserve team. Dominated possession but ultimately just couldn't get the job done despite taking the lead
1st grade 2-2...... Again, possession dominated by the Ville without creating to many clear chances . Sloppy defending allowed dragons their 2 goals. The name change from newington to dragons seems to have made them angrier. "Sbs" was there filming the game and plenty of paparazzi around taking pictures ?
Open game with both teams showing promising signs throughout. Could have gone either way in the final stages
First Grade 4-1
Scoreless first half with Rydlemere netting seconds into the second half. However that was as good as it got for them. Came home flying to completely run over them in the last 40. Could easily have been 6/7
First grade Auburn 3 w.hills 1 Worked hard for this result. Winston hills goods young side in contrast to our old aging legs.
Reserve grade Auburn 5 w.hills 1 (i think) Boys dominated. Great effort for a new reserve grade team.
Although they both could of played at a much higher, I coached a couple of the Winsto Prems players in the 16'4s last season. Very proud of them for making this squad & if they listen to their coach they will improve a lot this season. I played with him a couple of yeas ago & have known him for almost as long as I can remember & he knows his stuff. Not sure how much more I could of taught them so I am very pleased they have moved up to another level
