About time we got some chatter going for the Ladies 4's. Thought I would start it off. Being new to this division so far I've found the teams playing with good spirit. Am enjoying the challenge and having fun at the same time. Feel free to add match results or other info about the ladies 4 matches to this thread.
Well it was a hard fought match with Kellyville with the result being a 1-1 draw. Considering our usual goalkeeper + usual substitute goalkeeper were away it was a great result for us. I was pretty proud of our girls because they just never gave up. How did you go Pendo Blk?

Happyfeet, Well another loss 6 nil. But it was a good effort by everyone it was only 4 nil at half time and players had a bit of chat at half time and then the team lifted themselves up and were unlucky not to score at least 2 goals. I don't know why but the 2nd half the team does so much better. Mind you if we knew the rule regarding borrowed players (a bit of a grey area and with 2 Granville officials having different opinion of the ruling) maybe if we had all the players on the field they mightn't have scored 3 g early goals. I'll be checking the by-laws and try to get a correct ruling on this issue.
Sorry to hear Original tiger. It's so hard with Ladies teams numbers as they often have so many other commitments. Sometimes you feel like you need to sign up 20 players so you can field the 11 each week. We've often been through that situation and its very frustrating.
Some good match-ups scheduled for Round 5. My tips: Winston v Pendo Black - Winston by 1 Pendo White v Rocks - Rocks by 1 Kellyville v Lidcombe - Kellyville too good, up by 3 Guildford v Holroyd - I'm tipping a draw Dundas v Wenty - Dundas to maintain ther spotless record and win 2-0
Well, Rangers went down 3 nil. It was a tough game, they are a good passing team but our playing was a bit scrappy. Some of the GC players could do with toning down their onfield behaviour as they were constantly at each other and questioning the ref's every decision. If they are as good as they think they are they really don't need to do that.

Winsto 4 Pendo Black 0
2 goals in each half gave Winsto a deserved victory, tough work for Pendo who had no subs 1st half and only 1 in 2nd half in warm conditions.Pendo never gave up but Winsto too good today,Pendo keeper had a great game making some very good saves.
Pendo White beat North Rocks, not sure of exact score but think by 2 or more goals.Trying to watch 4 games at once at Bino is not easy.

As a proud partner of a AAL4 player, it is great to see a thread for the girls. Love watching the girls go round, pure football, and a lack of rubbish that sometimes happens in games on Saturdays. Keep it up girls!
Good on you biscuitman. I really appreciate my partners support, he hardly ever misses one of my games and I try to get to most of his games too. We also have a friendly competition over our goal scoring. It's all good fun.

Yes its a lot of fun when there is a few members of the family playing, there is 5 from my family playing. The goal scoring table is a lot of fun. Like is it counted if you kicked the ball last towards the opponents goal and it last touches an opponent or whilst they attempts to kick the ball away and it accidentally goes in his own goal. Or who's going to finish on the table higher at end of season.
Yes, orginal tiger we have those sort of discussions as well. Like, does a goal scored in the trial matches at the beginning of the season count towards your goal tally? Does an own goal reduce your tally by one. Should you get double points when your usual position is defender and you score?.
Even more importantly, when there are girl/ladies and boys/mens games on the same day (as a result of washed out rounds) are the discussions about how we can get all four of us to four different games at four different grounds at similar times (as sometimes happens). Ahhhhh soccer..... gotta love it.
