there was an article on the World game webpage a while back where the AFC are actually trying to force FFA to kick Phoenix out of the comp. Bit like the chicken and the egg, whose constitution holds more weight and whose should we be in line with, FNSW, FFA, AFC or FIFA, anyway from what someone said earlier we are going to have to lump it anyway. Just hope the nong(s) on the MC that approached them in the first place has plans.
FTR a friend at cricket last weekend who is on the MC of a club in Bankstown said that for their AGM agenda for next Monday that Auburn have lodeged an affiliation request with Bankstown for next year, so go figure, why have they done that if they really wanted to play in Granville, dear me it's all starting to make my brain hurt
The GM driving around on Saturday watching Blacktown demons when the association that employs him is having games played right across the assn area, is like the national head of soccer in Aust spending his weekends watching soccer in NZ.
If you get the drift.
Yea we get your drift happy, he works Mon to Fri in the Office, does every Saturday morning with his Pendo team he manages and some Sundays with the girls/ladies. How dare he go out and watch or get involved in outside interests.

must be different ladies/girls to Granville as I hear he was never spotted at Ladies Grand Final Day, some wag reckons he was out shopping for a new car and watching Blacktown again and i hear tell he was never seen at any ladies games all year but I am happy to stand corrected on that if any one saw the vehicle on a Sunday.

Yes, Auburn FC had also sought affiliation with Bankstown, confirmed by that association on Friday evening before our AGM. In fact, Bankstown Association was somewhat surprised to learn of the request for affiliation with GDSFA, something they gleaned from browsing the GDSFA web site and not from the horse's mouth.
When asked that very question at our AGM, the Auburn FC reps clearly stated "no", only to then let it slip later on that they had in fact lodged and paid affilation with Bankstown for 2010 "...under the guidance of FNSW". We might be justified in questioning their sincerity and motives when they are unsure of a matter as simple as affiliation...maybe an oversight?
Regardless of what FNSW may or may not require to occur 'down the track', I believe that the GDSFA clubs are entitled to go through the motion of approving or otherwise applications for affiliation of new bodies...it's happened over and over again, most recently for the likes of Lidcombe Falcons, St Michaels Baulkham Hills and Roosters FC.
