You would have to assume that Parra City would be fielding a team, Dunnies and Steynes not sure of. You would think with the two new clubs being Brumbies and Auburn FC and the eight teams from last year, subject to a possible adjustment to 2009 last place and the winner of last years div 2 comp, a ten team comp looks likely.
Also good to see a return to the 18 round competition and conventional finals series. Won't be long now till kick off!

Well i have heard there will be no Greystanes and Dundas this season. So i guess it will be a 8 team comp again which will be interesting who plays each other from round 15, this could change the end of seasons positions. So i guess it will be Pendo, Winsto, Parra City, CH Utd, Baulko, Auburn FC, Hills Brumbies and Kolts (which is a complete new team so i believe)
Kraiser Chief is it true that the team is a completely new playing squad...... what's going on at the Kolts???
It will be a pity if we do not have a ten team comp, although not much can be done about it if the teams are not there.
I am also pretty sure this season in the event of washed out rounds that cannot be replayed on the gazzeted wet weather make up days that round 18 is gone, then 17 and so on.
So OT is right, rounds 15 to 18 will be very important particulary if we have no lost rounds and some teams have to play each other three times.
It will be good to have two new teams in the comp and if they are Brumbies and Auburn, welcome to those teams and look forward to another great season which will no doubt be as closely contested as previous years.

Pendo played there first trial game today. Which included a couple of special spectator on the sideline from Baulko. Even though the opposition was not first division standard that didn't matter it allowed the Pendo players to get rid of some cobweb after a long lay off. The passing game was good but unfortunately lost there shape on a few occassions. Overall a good first up hit out.

Pendo played Prospect Utd today and had good 3 nil win. I believe Prospect Utd were the u11/ 1's minor premiers last year in there Association. Still a lot of improvement required by Pendo but it was still a good hit out.
How did your side go this week curveball. So how are some of the other team going this season with there trials. I'm interested in Kellyville since it the division 2 team stepping up into first division this season. I can't believe not 1 player from last years first division team is in the squad this season or am i wrong in saying that. Or have you heard different Curveball?
Sounds like your team had a good hit out OT and a good win. I do not know anything about Prospect United but any win against an association's premiers is a good result. We also had a good game and a win although it was again very hot and the lads continue to improve.
Regarding Kellyville, are you saying that their div 1 team this season is last season's div 2 team?? If so what happened to last season's players. Perhaps some of them may have moved to the Brumbies. If they have disbandend perhaps that is why we have not heard from Kaiser Chief?

I believe some are playing for Brumbies, Baulko and the number of them in division 2 with Kaiser Chief. So it will be interesting when we play against Kellyville not knowing much about them. Auburn also unknown quality but they will competitive as there club some how find players around this age group and do well in division one. Have you any players away for round 1, Pendo do so it will an interesting first game this season.
Last weekend's trials for our club had us playing a Gladeville Hornsby Club and it was good to see trainee official referees appointed for all matches with referee association mentors on each side line giving the referees advice and keeping an eye on spectators.

I'll be the to select for the tips
Pendo vs. Parra City .... Pendo by 1 - be close game as usual Baulko vs. Brumbies ..... Baulko by 3 Baulko recruited well in the off season Kolts vs. Winsto ..... i'll sit on the fence here draw, as Kolts unknown CHU vs. Auburn ..... CHU be to strong evn with new signings.
Early start for Pendo to keep opposition on there toes. well one is hoping
School holidays could play a big part with results over next 2 weeks. Good luck everyone for the season and let all enjoy it whether you win or lose.
