Anon yes Pendo did win 3 - 1 today against Parra City.
Well Pendo started well but allowed Parra City back into the game at times. 1 all at half time and the second half proved to very interesting with some interesting decisions from the Referee making the game change the tempo for each team. Not bad for a first competition game of the year Pendo came away with 3 points and in the end deserved to win.
I heard Kolts won 1 nil against winsto in a close game.
So CurveBall i heard you won but what was the score? how did your team play.

diverdan well you could right but the Grand final replay is happen with the new Kolts and Auburn this result could go either way.
Pendo vs Brumbies ... home win for Pendo but in saying that Brumbies will improve from last weeks result
Parra City vs CH Utd ... CH Utd again will prove to strong but Parra City will improve over the next few weeks with a new coach on the scene starting from this week.
Winsto vs Baulko ... local derby this game with a lot of ex winsto player playing for Baulko but alas Bauko will again dominate this game
Kolts vs Auburn District .... as mentioned before a return clash for the new comers from Division 2 (and yes it a 95% new team for Kolts), i will sit on fence here as not really knowing much about these 2 teams yet a draw is my best option but diverdan is confident that its a win for the Kolts
Diverdan could well be right but I suspect Brumbies might give Pendo a close game. They are a brand new team and I'm sure they will show a lot of improvement over the first month as the coach gets to know them. They will have certainly learnt a lot from the first game. Draw.
Parra will be sparked by a new coach but again it will take time to get it together and CHU should be comfortable here. CHU by 4.
Baulko will be too strong for Winston Hills but Winsto always lifts for this match up. I think a close opening to the match but then Baulko by 4.
Kellyville v Auburn is a tough one to call. I heard Auburn had a strong start against CHU last week but then fell away. Auburn by 2.
anon. i agree brumbies will improve as the season progresses. if they improve to the extent you think they might by this weekend, every team had better watch out in coming weeks. mind you, pendo might have lost some form from last season. i reckon brumbies have 1 or 2 goals in them v pendo. pendo scored 3 last week, so we know they can score. the question is how many. Out of all the results this weekend, i will be most interested in this one. mind you, not interested enough to get to Binalong at 8.30am to watch it. I thought by the time we got to U12's parents were entitled to expected to have later games. 8.30am is for U8, U9 and maybe U10's in my book.
OT. you say I'm confident is that its a win for the Kolts. Haven't seen either play so wouldn't have the foggiest to be honest. I just like the idea that the top 4 would be 6 points ahead after 2 rounds. We do know Kellyville can win and till Auburn get a win in Division 1 under their belts I'll probably tip against them. Meeting up against CHU in the 1st round was always going to be a tough game for them. If they lose this week and then have to face Baulko next week it's going to be a tough start to the season for them. Mind you I think Brumbies drew the short straw on the draw. They have to play the top 3 teams from last year 3 times!

Yes Diverdan your confident for a Kolts win. Yes it would be good if the the top at the moment come away with wins again.
As i mention earlier that whoever your first four games are it could affect your season near the end of the normal rounds. I noticed Baulko don't play Pendo or CH Utd 3 times but Pendo and CH Utd do play each other 3 times....... so if things go right for Baulko minor premiership is looking good again. As they say it the luck of the draw.
Diverdan it's only half an hour earlier than Baulko home games kick off's....... beside as i said before is a ploy that we start early and i guess it worked last week Pendo won at home.
OT. I don't actually know how the start times are decided. Is it a club thing, or does GDSFA just work out what fields are available when? I hadn't noticed but all our home start times are at 9am except 1 which starts at 9.30am. I suppose I'll have lots of chances to set up the nets this year!

The coaching staff asked for the early start due to other committments later in the day with other teams. But the committee nominate who plays at what time unless there are circumstances as with the u/12's.
I guess most clubs do the same and then forward to Granville Association field/ time nominations
My mail on the Brumbies team is that most of these players tried out for their 13 div 1 or The "D" word youth league team and the ones who did not make it were put in the 12/1's.
I think your statement is a little misleading. As far as I am aware there is not one U/11 from last year Brumbies team in the 13's youth league team. A few but not that many, may have tried out but I also know that a couple of lads that were not U/13 this season were not considered due to their age. A couple of them were alright as well. I am not 100% on this but this is what I am led to beleive.
