Granville were at Goulburn today.
The u/11 PCYC Parramatta team started the day great for Granville with a 9-0 win a very dominant performance but even with the big scoreline it could have been much more with finsihing being a bit off, it didn't help with their striker coming off early in the game injured.
The u/12 Castle Hill game was the on at the same time I could only see parts of the game but unfortunatly the CHU boys lost which was a massive suprise given their performance this year to date.
The u/14 Girls Pendle Hill won 3-1 they were down 1 nil early but came back strong and always looked to have the game in control.
Castle Hill 12's did look a bit off today, compared to the dominant team we have come up against all season. Also was surprised to see the ref and linesman swap mid match for no apparent reason. Also heard a lot of jibes from the sideline relating to him having a big night out the night before which is a worry. Greystanes had two boys teams there, not sure of their ages but they both won.
Congrats PCYC under 11's on your impressive win. It sometimes can be very tough to play away against the out of town teams. From all reports your boys played a great game and were really only in 2nd gear for most of the game. Good luck in your next game.
Congrats to all the other Granville winners and best of luck to all in their next games.

A few funny stories out of yesterdays 12's coc game in Goulburn, the referee still drunk from the night before couldn't see that the locals were playing with 12 men until the CHU manager spotted the problem. Later he then had to change with the linesman because he was struggling from the previous nights activities. On comes the linesman who was also struggling from the previous nights activities to referee the rest of the game in sunglasses.
12's game was a funny one alright but the reality was the 12's were poor on the day. They carved up Pendo in the GF playing fantastic football but were very poor yesterday, maybe the travel, maybe too confident, maybe just an off day but it wasnt pretty the bigger Gouburn boys were simply too good.

The Goulburn assoc had there Grand Finals on the Saturday and there was some big celebrations that night. The under 11's Goulburn coach was also in sunglasses and said he had a big night and was also hung over. It must have been some party!
I must admit its a real experience for young boys to travel that far and play, especially if they went down the day defore. The game can be easily lost before they go on the field if they have not had enough rest or have been eating the wrong foods or worst still they think becauses its a country team that its going to be easy.
At least this weeks games are at Ray Marshall not much travel this time.
Good Luck to all the Granville teams up against the Nepean assoc.

Watched 2 matches today,
CHU 2 V Blue Mountains 0.
Gutsy effort by the CHU lads in a hard fought match. CHU as usual dominated the match and put 2 well constructed goals away but it took until the second half to score. CHU certainly needed to bring their A game today as the Blue mountains were a very battle hardened side.
Hats off to the CHU defence which didnt really give the Blue mountains much to work with in front goals and kept their shots to distant attempts.
Granville Kewpies led the first half 1-0 but St Clair came back and fought pretty hard to put 4 goals away in the second half.
14 Girls - Pendle Hill too strong for a good Colo team 3-0. Girls played as well as Ive ever seen them play and came away with a well deserved win.
16 Girls - Jamisontown girls were too good 4-0 Pendle Hill short of players to start the game and it didnt get any better from there. Early on a Jamisontown girl had an epileptic fit on the park and after it stopped she was taken off, then a Pendle Hill girl got a bad headknock, passed out when she was taken off the field and an ambo was called, 2 more girls (one each) went down with dehydration, was one of those games, Nepean side too strong in the end.
18 Girls - Pendo won 3-1 were always in control although Colo did have a few chances and got it back to 2-1 before Pendo kicked on.
