Parramatta City will field a side again this year with some new playing staff and i heard Baulkham Hills will be very competive with a number of Winston Hills player heading there way. Pendlo will be there again doing there best and hopefully be part of the final four. Heard Greystanes have lost anumber of players aswell. As you said curveball once again a good competition ahead for 2009

G'Day OT, curvedball
Welcome back. Took a while to get my account setup, was not receiving registration e-mail. Oh well, back on line now.
Curveball, we have grading tomorrow, lost a couple of key players, as I’m sure most clubs did, but it looks like we may be picking up some equivalent replacements. As for coaching, will have to see how grading transpires.
Hows your team looking? What happens if BHSC close grounds for the week, when will you complete grading?
OT, much movement in your team?
I watched the Baulko Div 2 side at a summer comp game, they look impressive, but will need to see what they have on a full field.

Hi Kaizer & curveball,
Only 2 players trailed but were unsuccessful but the experience was good for them. All players returned from last year with a few players from other clubs. We've held one grading day so far and another this week. It is hard at Pendle Hill as there were only two teams last year div 1 the other team div 6. almost all the players returned from both teams again for this season, making changes from last years team could be possible if new players look the goods. I believe the players from Winston Hill are from there 2nd division side trailing with Baulkham Hills. First trail game is against Parklea

Had our first grading today, lost 5 players, 1 to probably drop a division, picked up 4 new players but we still need to play full field to see where they stand. lost our goalie from last year, but it looks like i may have 2 options for replacements.
Lets hope the rain holds up this week so we can get some more grading done next weekend. Our fields took a bit of a pounding today, but at least we got to see some of the players.
3 trial games scheduled, needs to be finalised, but I think they are Glenwood, Prospect & Quakers Hill.
curveball, is there any changes to your coaching for U11/1's, or same as last year.
See you guys around, lets hope we get some more members on this forum, needs to get advertised on the GDSFA site.

yes its true a player from Hills area has been graded into the team. All 14 players returned from last season and unfortunately one player missed out from last season squad. With so many teams either been affect by metro selection or players moving to another association or taking part in another sport. I still believe this season comp will be as good as the last few seasons It's a shame Rockets have disbanded they also gave Pendo a good game each time they meet.
So Rockets, Rhino's, Stanes are no more. What about Dundas & PCYC Parra what are they doing.
So far there will be Pendo, Kolts, CH UTD, Winsto, Parra City, Baulko. Does anybody else know who is applying for division 1.
How is Parra city shaping as a squad i heard a greystanes player has been trialing there.
The new format this season will be interesting, hope we get to complete the 14 rounds of soccer, then worry about the next round of games.

Grading complete, we have a team. Probably much the same strength as last year, I am pleased with what we have.
Sad to see RSL drifting apart, we picked up 2 of their players, no names mentioned, but they looked great.
Cureveball, i dont think we need to be worried with Brumbies recruiting any of our players, we picked up about 5 of their players from the year before when they fielded the 2 Under 9 teams, and they dont speak highly of their experience, so there is little chance they will go back. Surely if Brumbies were recruiting they have left it a bit late now to field a quality side and i dont see any adverts on their website. I guess its watch this space.
Have you guys starting training yet? I will probably get our boys down to the ground 1 night next week, and then start training the following week as we have trial games scheduled for the weekend of 14/15 March.
I hear its Granville v Blacktown U11/U12 reps this Sunday, Francis Park at 9am. Should be good games, put my money on Granville for the U11's.

Well the clubs have been selected in U/ 11's division 1 for 2009. Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill United, Dundas, Greystanes, Kellyville, Parramatta City, Pendle Hill and Winston Hills. Lets hope none of these teams appeal about there grading.
An interesting season ahead with a few personnel changes to a lot of teams, interesting times ahead.
Pendo started training last wednesday, wasn't too bad for first training session.
k,chief Did you get Rockets goalkeeper or did Castle United as he has a lot of talent for a young player in that position

OT, we picked him up.
I heard Blacktown went down 8-1 to Granville in the Under 11 reps.
Does this highlight the difference in strength between the Granville & Blacktown comp, or are clubs keeping players back and developing them themselves as i know from our last years trial game that Glenwood had a very strong team, that they kept from the year before. Interested as we have another trial game scheduled with them this year.
