we won, won't mention the score as that doesn't matter or interest me in a trial. The boys played some go football before the goal fest kicked in. Hopeful to have a game against WPH 11/1's soon, watched them play this morning against Winsto 11/1. WPH are very strong, Winsto also have a couple of good players and are very quick to the ball. Winsto will be a very comepetitive team again this year, but i wouldn't see them as minor premiers. I left 5min from end of 2nd phase of 20min, not sure if they were going to play a third, but the score was 2-1 in favour of WPH, Winsto held up well.

Heard Parra City coach is back with a few players returning and with some players from other teams which folded this season joining Parra City.
Pendo had a victory against a southern district side on Sunday. Pendo are starting to take shape which is pleasing to see but still need to improve in some areas. Pendo has one more trial game not sure who against yet.

Coach is back. Not sure of pcyc players but some players are from other teams from division 1 teams. Not to sure what division southern district team were that played against Pendo but the main objective was for the new coach to have a look at his squad.
Other than Pendo, CH UTD and Kolts having posted some of there trial results and some comments, how have the other teams been going in there trial games. It'll be interesting just to see results & comments posted.

Pendo Played there last trial game today. Only had 10 players as others were playing cricket grand finals or injuried and came away with a win against a team from Bankstown association who had a full team and reserves.
Interesting games in round 1. With baulko containing some ex Winsto players should be an interesting game. Kellyville against Parra City could be a each way bet. CHU to strong for Stanes and with Pendo and Dunnies each way bet as Dunnies can produce upsets.
The boys played Fairfeild Colts today for a tough 1-1 draw. It was a good hit out for the last match before comp starts on Saturday!
I don't think Baulko should be underestimated, although they have been promoted from div 2, they did do very well in the PCYC gala day last year and if OT is correct and they have picked up some Winsto players they will be a pretty strong side.

I agree with Leeds, need to get some more reps on this thread.
Where are all the football commentators from Winsto, Baulko, Dunnies, Stanes & Parra??? Registration process too complicated or their google search cant find the forum, or maybe just observers this year.
Our 11/2's had a run with Winsto 11/1's over the weekend, KK led 2-0, but with no subs, went to 2-2 at HT. No goals 2nd half, final score 2-2.
We had a run with our 12/1's, down 4-1 HT, final score 6-3 to our 12/1's. I was happy with the result. We had our last trial scheduled for tonight, guess what, the &*% rain came and put an end to that.
So we go into the season not knowing where we stand, still got 2 trials lined up , but they will only come after round 1, thats if that goes ahead with all this rain.
Interesting poll, OT, been getting your parents on the forum have we, and how did Leeds manage to cast 2 votes for Winsto?

First round is always tight but i'm sticking with my tips.
We were lucky to have trials. They were not against very strong opposition but it was run around the park and with a new coach gave him a chance to see how they proform. As i have said previously there is a lot of room for improvement. Again it will be hard to get back into the swing of things with another long break before our next game, which i know will affect everyone else. But at least Granville has done something early about amending the draw.

Weather last week didn't help preperation leading up to this game. But in saying that Pendo is ready to play and hopefully play as instructed by there coach. I would like to think scores be posted before monday and a few more guest join the forum.

Well round 1 is done and dusted. Where are the results OT, Curveball?
KK 2 Parra City 1
Hard fought game, a lot of work for us to do, but we were happy to come away with the points. Even though Parra lost some key players, they still have a decent team for this year, expect a lot to come from them as they "D" word againe through the year.
