welcome to the forum tyro67 and diverdan its good to some other people join us on here.
Curveball yes i did well on the tips. This week could be interesting with match of the round being Baulko and CH Utd.
From my spies this week they did inform me that Winsto did have some players missing and lot of there players are from there 2nd division team from last year they also mentioned they never gave up even though Baulko scored 4. They noticed that Baulko had 2 good centre midfield boys who are taller then most players at this age which control the centre field throughout the game. It was also noted some of there corners were very dangerous and passing game was bad either. So yes it will be an interesting game this week between Baulko and Ch Utd.
Even though Pendo did win its was not a good performance by Pendo to many passes going a stray. But they did defend well when called upon. Maybe the long delay to the start of the season affected a few teams. Curveball what was the score and how did stanes go i believe a lot of changes in there team this season.
thanks for the welcome OT and curveball. I'd have to say this forum is the best kept secret in the district. I have heard people talk about it for years now, but there are no links from the district website that i can find, nor is it obvious in google searches. I would never have found it if someone hadn't emailed me the precise link. Why isn't it linked from the district website?
you guessed it, I am a Baulko dad but I'm not associated with coaching or managing the team. I expect there are some other Baulko supporters out there, or maybe some other supporters who are a good judge. Mind you, CHU do get the biggest vote. Time will tell.
I'm just looking forward to some great games of soccer, played in a competitive yet friendly manner in 2009. It is after all about the kids having a good time and enjoying their sport.
Hi all...Just jioned the forum..great to see something like this up where we can discuss issues and matters regarding the 11/1s Like Diverdan, also had a hard time to find the link to this forum ...maybe a link should be put on the Granville website for more people to jion in Looking forward to the season good luck to all teams
Guy, Oko may be able to explain better, but I believe that Granville wont put a link to it on their website because people may then think that this forum is an officially sanctioned one. They closed their forum.
OT - My middle one is playing for Granville this year. He wanted to do it so his grandfather took him to trials and he got in so he was happy. I had no say (as it should be), it is up to the kids what they want to do, and rightly so.
I keep in touch with this age group (as well as my eldests - 13's) as they have mates playing in these competitions. They are always interested to know how their mates are going. Some interesting results last week so should be good competition this year.
No point getting to excited with the poll after only 1 round. One thing this age and division has provided over the last two years is a fairly close competition with numerous teams in the running until the very last round!
I see it being the same closely fought comp this year if not even closer as there are now 8 teams instead of 10!
PH to sneak home over WH PC to just get up over Dunnies KV to struggle against Greystanes but get away with it (unless KV have overcome their aversion to losing to lower ranked teams) CHU v BH to go down to penalties (if not, then CHU should get up in this one)

Redcard, Congrats to your son for making Granville hope he has a successful season, the experience will do no harm either and i'm sure a much better player.
Your right curveball last few season the top 4 is not decided until the last few rounds. I can recall Pendo vs CH Utd in a catch up game before the last round with Pendo winning 2 nil meaning CH Utd missing out as Minor Premiers. And this season will be the same again as any team can win on there day.
