Mrs koltville here. Just an update from all the drama from yesterday. He is out of hospital and resting at home. Still some more tests to run but he looks a lot better. Thank you for all the assistance from all the Dundas parents and coaches help yesterday. It was really appreciated.

Norwest 2 Merrylands 1. A game played in good spirit by the bear 11 from both teams. Norwest controlled the majority of the game and could have had a few more but for the woodwork, Merrylands got there goal with the last kick of the game. We will take the points when they come and hope to have a few on the bench from next week.

Wenty 4 Norwest 0. Norwest played with only 11 with our keeper having to play on the field as one of our injured boys stood in at goals. We seem to have a couple in our group now that no longer have the commitment to the side and have taken to just not showing up to games or training which is a shame as the rest of the group always give 100%. With 2 returning next week from holidays we might start to have a bench once more giving us the competativeness that we need. We will enjoy the rest of the season and hope to take a scalp or 2 along the way. Watched a very interesting game this morning between Gladsville Magic and Brumbies with magic taking it out 4-1. A number of the players involved have come through the GDSFA with a few from BDSFA and on watching the game came to the conclusion that none of the players in our comp would be out of place amongst these teams. Would be good if we could have a run against one of these sides just to see how we would go.
Brumbies 14's not a great side by any means in this Division as can be seen by the fact that they are coming eigth in the comp. Some players from the Granville 14's comp probably would make the Brumbies team but quite a few did trial but missed out so to say that "none of the players in our comp would be out of place amongst these teams" is not quite right as there would be plenty that would not make the grade.
It may be a competitive match between Brumbies & some of the teams in the Granville 14's but the top 2 or 3 teams in Youth League would win comfortably against all the sides in my opinion. And I would back the Brumbies to win against most teams in your comp. Ask one of your Dads what he thinks.

Thanks Leeds will do. We had a number of boys asked to go to brumbies for a trial and our keeper and 1 field player managed to get through to the final cut which was great experience for them. From talking to a few parents from both teams there yesterday their main issues are that every year they are having to build a new team and that is the diffence between club and reps. At club we have time to develop a team rather than individual players and as I have seen in our comp this year the teams such as CH and Dundas which has been able to keep their core group together are the sides up the top of the table are showing. Would be interesting to know how many new players come into these rep teams on a yearly basis, we have 5 new players this year and that's been hard enough.
Brumbies had 16 boys last season - too many. This season 14 in the squad - much more managable. From last years squad there are 6 boys. So yes 8 new lads to try to mould into a team is difficult. Although there are a few lads from last years squad I wish were still there, overall this years team is a better group of boys. Defence not as good this season but attack better than last year.
