Point Taken boys, it's good to have healthy discussion about the next level up cause as a newby to this a number of our boys are looking at the next level and asking what path to gain to get there. I have told them to train away from what we do and explore other ways that people go about it. Some have taken that up and have done personal training and some have played indoor to keep up there touch. Also when they get the chance watch levels above them and try and see where they would fit into a teams structure. I'll watch with interest on Sunday the state cup under 14's final cause we got the chance to play hotspurs in a trial and all of our boys hold them in very high regard. We have all learnt alot this year in our squad and it's been good to be apart of it.
Just thought that I would mention too that there is a big difference between Div 1 Youth League (Brumbies) & Super Youth & Premier Youth League. A few of the Brumbie boys may get into some of the lower to mid Super Youth teams but very few if any would grade much higher. If Brumbies played the top 2 or 3 Premier Youth League teams it would be more like a Rugby score than a football score.
Leeds, we agree again....that's a worry. On a serious note there is a big difference between Div 1 and Super youth. The skill level and the speed shows up any shortcomings in a players game. The next level Prem. youth is nearly twice as fast again and requires good judgement at speed to compete. Any player wanting to take the next step really needs to align himself with a coach that can teach the finer points of the game but if they lack the skill to begin with they will struggle. From what I have seen this year there are not many boys that would make the grade in Div.1.
