It was a solid game all the lads played well at this standard. The score finished 3 - 0 to Blacktown.
btw the U14s Parra fc team went down 5-0 to sydney olympic

Norwest 4 Merrylands 4. The first coach killer of the season. The norwest boys played some great football in the first half and went to the break leading 2-0. Straight after half time had a chance to go up 3-0 but a fine save by the Merrylands keeper denied us. The boys dropped there intensity for 5 mins and when they woke up were down 3-2 with 15 to go. The lights were switched back on and from the kickoff put 8 passes together and levelled it up at 3-3. Again Merrylands struck to make it 4-3 with 5 to go only for our boys to level it up once again. final score 4-4. A great game from both teams who refuse to give up the contest and a game played in great spirit. Our boys are starting to understand that at this level you cannot switch off or you will be punished. We have now played 3 games with 2 draws and 1 loss so pretty happy with how we are competiting at this level. Heard on the grape vine that we may have to go to Dubbo for RD 2 of state cup after they beat Normo 3-1 yesterday. Any other results from the granville boys?

Due to popular demand in late breaking news . . . CH went down narrowly to St Mary's Eaglevale B team. The dreaded PSO. Apparently, an eager shot before the whistle will haunt them for a while. Good luck to the other GDSFA teams still in the comp

yes an eventful Sunday in state cups games
firstly Kellyville v Base Hill, this game was delayed start due to a injury to a player in the proceeding match eventually the game started and it was all locked at 1 all at full time it become quiet dark as extra time commenced and the game had to be abandoned by the ref due to dangerous playing in the dark. The lights were not available as it was Sunday night.
therefore no announcement as yet but one guesses it will need to be replayed.
moving over the other game as afishinmission has already provided us some detail. here a more details. CHU V St Marys Eaglevale. end to end game. 2-2 at the end of extra time. Went to Penalty Shoot out, CHU had to get the last shot in to win which they did, all the boys ran down cheering as you would, 20-30 seconds expire & then ref says he did not blow his whistle take it again, well the second attempt missed, went over, they take there next shot and score, CHU then felt the pressure of needing to score to level and unfortunately it went wide. An interesting question was asked it the chu shot had missed would the ref of asked him to take it again cause he not blown the whistle?
anyway good luck to the teams still in the state cup, do the assoc proud.

Hey Ona . . . how ya doin ?
Was it the "A" CHU team that played St Mary's ? Because if it was the St Mary's "B" team . . . then they might have still held together their gun "A" team. We played them in state cup 2 yrs ago and beat that team by 3. We also played them last year, and it was a completely different team. Their best player was gone, but they had replaced around 8 players with very, very capable players. That district must have absolute gun YL teams, if these players didn't make the cut. They blew us off the park last year. Just curious if it was a match-up between the CHU A, or B team VS the Eaglevale B team.
. . . Now, on to your question. I guess if the shot missed and the ref called it back then it would be the opposition that would be spewing. But it would still have been called back.

ML boys were disappointed with result after the match, Norwest last minute goal
Hey Merry ! You persisted with that 4-4-2, didn't you ? Bad luck, it sounded like a great game.I'm sure both coaches would be a bit disappointed, but at the end of the day . . . the game was the winner Keep up the good work . . . all the best

St Marys Eaglevale is a strong club in fact they have 2 under 14 sides U14s Green and U14s Gold they are currently sitting both at the top of the local comp table.
I've always regarded COC as the best compettion for park football, associaton team pitted against the best teams over the season. State cup is good but more a lucky dip draw or I could say unlucky dip draw?
As far as the youth they don't have Premier Youth League but they have Macarthur Rams in Super youth league and Camden tigers in div 1 youth. Both sides are fair in their respective competitions.

Norwest 0 Kellyville 0 A scrappy game in very windy conditions with both teams unable to take the limited chances that they were given. The Norwest boys are still to crack it for a win in this comp but still only have 1 loss so their heads are still pretty high.

The good old days. Maybe we should organise a 2009 reunion on the forum.
Ah the memories . . . .
A brash new coach who had the gall to challenge first division in the first year. The chorus of innocence and goodness from all at a certain club. Us vs Them. The posts were fun, right OKO ? . Some people even detected traces of sarcasm in those posts.
