Its always difficult when we dont have officials and the ref and 2 linesman did well. We should never criticize them as it is a difficult task. I saw on the 12s thread that a teams coach reffed his game which I certainly dont agree with as I think it is more difficult to be impartial. I thought the Brumbies finally played for a full game, competing for the ball with more want and nearly always tried to play the ball along the ground. Good to get a win but more importantly play better football. Still so much more to do though which is exciting. Only problem is we have to wait another week.
Congrats Brumbies on your style of play & game - Finally got to play St Micks this season and still 2 more games against each other to go. Hopefully a lot was learnt from this game. Do Tell - I'm sure Leftie was referring to the Ville blk coach who was on the field with the St Micks game as per the previous Brumbies game. If all teams are at full strength it should be an interesting last 5 rounds with 5 teams battling for positions 2,3 &4 in the play-offs.
Hi Merry I agree that Castle Hill will probably come 2nd as their goal difference looks about 3 better than ours, but we will not give it up easily. You have a tough task having to face Baulko 3 times, but they are not unbeatable they just havn't been beaten so far. I unfortunately have experience as a coach, going the whole regular season undefeated only not to make the grand final. Not saying this will happen to Baulko, but it proves upsets at the end of the season can put a spanner in your works. Anyway should be a great finish to the season and good luck to all teams. ;D ;D ;D
Brumbies boys played well today for most of the game. They nearly always looked to maintain possession and build from the back. We didnt always go wide today, trying to mix it up and play through the middle as well. Some of the boys that have been tried in different positions excelled. A solid 6-0 win. CHU White showed great spotsmanship throughout the game.

Agree Hillside the boys played quite well today. Castle Hill never able to maintain possession for long. I thought some of the positional changes in the second half were great. The Moving of your no9 from right wing to center midfield showed a hole new dimension to his game and I thought a more attacking display, with the ball being moved quickly through the midfield and distributed very quickly to both flanks of the field instead of constantly going down the same side of the field, which spread their defense very thin and led to some great goals. Great effort from Castle Hill Wht today. No matter what the score these kids never stop trying to play football. They didn't drop their heads and played with great sportsmanship. If these kids stay together I think they will be very competitive next season in div1, don't give up kids you are better than the score line shows.
Lefti I think it's good to play those sides at the end of the season. The kids tend to lift a bit more, and sometimes other kids can get a little bit complacent with how the game will end up. I heard that Kville Wht forfeited against Kville Blk on Sunday. Can anyone confirm this, and what was the reason if it was a forfeit.
Merry - I think your earlier prediction looks to be on the money for the 4. Unfortunately the season draw works against Merrylands and SMK. I also noticed that Ville White forfeited, although Ville Black were expected to win, upsets can happen especially against fellow club sides. The forfeit 3-0 result will help Ville Black. Congrats to BH on the minor premiership - no losses all season to date, a well drilled team
Merry, Results are always interesting when a club enters 2 teams in the 1 division. With an 8 team comp you are never going to get a fair draw in a 17/18 round comp - playing some teams 3 times and others twice doesn't always show the right balance. Interestingly both CHU & K'ville who have black & white teams in the U11/1's drew each other 3 times.
Hey guys The forfeit looks a bit sus, but in saying that I know the coach of Kville Wht personally and I don't think he would do it on purpose as he doesn't think much of the coach due to his behavior. I think it is still wide open for all sides concerned, it's very congested for 3rd and 4th and second isn't far enough away to get comfortable at all. Good luck to all teams this weekend should be a good finish to the season.
