Hard to call so early on but let's see how the mighty cheese goes.
L waratah 2 Castlehill 5 G Waratah 4 K-ville black 2 K-ville white 5 Holdroyd 3 Stanes 2 B-hills 2 Tonnie 2 W-hills 4
A few interesting games to watch this week. Free scoring castlehill against Lidcombe looks interesting as does the K-ville Holdroyd fixture. B-hills and Stanes both coming off a bad week with both having 9 put past them, both will be looking to bounce back. The loser of this game could be in for a very long season indeed. No idea with Tonnie but with 3 put on them last week, maybe they might leak a few again. K-ville black will look to bounce back and being a little temperamental the pressure could show if they are a few down at half time, i see cautions in this one!
Good luck all and remember if it smells like cheese, it's probably cheese

Yep pretty good game played at the Ville. little bit of niggle but without bashing the ref he did have an average run today and Holdroyd had the bad end of that more than not probably why some frustration crept in.
5-zip didn't really reflect the game they could have nabbed a couple but Ville could have scored a few more as well. Conditions were tough and i think on a dry track it could be a very competitive game. Not sure of the "whippet" up front, maybe a wind up?? the Ville defence seemed in control more than not. few injuries for the Ville today but with 65 players signed on they will manage. Plus for Holdroyd they never stopped running....
Dog657, as a neutral observer the same referee did the 45/1 game between Kolts and Auburn no cards teams showed good sportsmanship towards eachother. In his next 35/3 game kolts v holroyd his hand got tired pulling out his yellow card from all the carrying on the field. Maybe some players can learn from their more mature teams. Just play the game.
Stop bagging the ref. He could have given a red to the big fella for throwing the elbow but used a bit of common and booked both for swearing, which seemed to make the big man think again. Penalty was blatant, offsides always a challenge with no linesmen, so all in all, thought he did OK. Let's see how the ville go without two of the div 1 players for a few weeks now. Will it make a difference ? Let's wait and see .

You're right about the ref, he started the game with the cautions and i don't mind a ref ruling a game strictly so no gripe there also got the penalty spot on. it' easy to to bag him but i think the vibe was he got a fair few of the standard free kicks wrong. I'm the first to pat a ref on the back and i'd never want to be one but as per my last post he had an "average" day at the offiice.... we all have them
