Siralex (balgownie out) I think you have had a good preparation, and are refreshed now-greys and baulko, both got better as the season went on,and gave you good games which would have helped your preparation, dont take your foot off the pedal or take things too easy after big wins! keep focussed and could go all the way!
Harrykil, Every year I send the boys to local trials or they usually go themselves. So, if we lose players, like we have in the past, we just rebuild. ( or pinch greystanes players ) Did kemps creek win? Our boys are focused and ready to play anyone
Have heard a few of Greys Players are having a yr or 2 away from the game & not sure on there coach who could be off to Mounties. Just have to wait till next yr & see who signs up, maybe they might get some new players. Big win by Kemps Creek, Should be a great game on Sunday. Good luck siralex.

The magician, how come he hasnt gone to super or premier league ? he is a quality player.
Also from outside observations your big striker left footed striker no 9 I think -I thought he has matured a lot this year in his football, and is a big part of your team,he would be another one ,for one of the youth leagues?
The little magician went to a couple of trials last year and only got a 10min run. He is clearly one of the better players in the comp and played a big part in the state cup. I think coaches look at him, pass judgement and say hes too small. The big left footer actually played div2 last year and has really come along this year. He scored 2 goals in the state cup final and the winner in the g.f.
Proud of the boys yesterday, toughing it out in terrible conditions which didnt suit either side. The ground was soaked and the goal mouthes were flooded and muddy, and that was before it even started raining! The southern districts referees should not have let the games be played. We started the game strong and had a few half chances. Our build upwas good but we struggled with the final ball. Kemps started to threat on set plays and corners. Just before halftime our captain hit a shot which slid under the keeper and we had our deserved 1 goal lead. After halftime kemps pushed numbers forward and the game became an arm wrestle, especially with miskicks, mistakes and hard challenges. In a 10 min spurt kemps dominated and scored a header of a free kick. Our keeper pulled a couple of good saves against the superstar striker which kept us in the game. With minutes to go our super sub comes on and scores a header freom a good cross. In the last 30sec kemps were awarded.a free kick outside the box. With the rain pouring down, our keeper had to dive at full stretch and parry away a cracking shot. Truly one of the better saves I have seen in a while.

One of my wishes,is oneday -through football nsw there is a true end of season knockout (scrap the met west which i think has already gone) and have a cup for under 16s,involving all the best teams in australia, you have the division winners, from div 1 assoc, super and premier leagues, play knockout cup against each other ,until you get a state winner, then the best team from each state meets for a carnival knockout series over a week or two.
It is something for kids to strive for,If it was held now I believe teams like Aub D would do very well in it and teams like Greys who only a couple of years ago where in ,14/2s could try and work there way up to aim for this as well! The funding for the teams competing in the carnvial could possibly come from the goverment and or footbal Australia! This would be money very well spent by football Australia and put this group of kids on there way in a possible future football career for the elite ones who standout at the highest level!
Brilliant idea. Especially for kids who never had the oppurtunity or financial means to play higher level. How bout the stjohns team that folded, they had some good players. Baulko have quality as well. I know with my boys they love to play quality teams, it lifts their performance.
No I dont Sir Alex, but congrats on yesterday. I thought your boys controlled the game from the whistle and the score line flattered Ryde. Good luck next week. I cant see u getting beaten and it will be 3 desreved titles for 2011.
ps.....Did u happen to see any Grandville Officials after the game to congratulate the boys
