This age group and being a single division always makes it interesting. Some players move on,some into 21s and Seniors. I will make some prediction on the table. Greystanes,Kellyville,Castle Hill Black,Baulkam hill , top 4. Auburn ,Granville Waratahs , pushing to make it into the top 4. Pendle Hill and Wenty will upset some teams and Winsto and Castle Hill White will struggle against the top teams but will improve as the year goes on.
Max, What were Auburn like? Heard that they are a combination of Auburn and the Merrylands side that were kicked out of the comp last year. Do they still have the same coach as last year (the auburn coach I mean)?

Granville is a very competitive team and my money would be on them to take it this year, they smashed up the 17/2s last yr but were not allowed to move up after round 2 (with their 2 results being 10-0 and 21-0 or similar) they beat stanes on the w/e 3-0 who i believe were last years champs
Auburn this year have lost 3 players to the reserve grade, and lost 2 others to Super League. Another couple players started work. So Auburn will always be competetive, but lost a lot of good players. Il be suprised if Kellyville dont win by at least 5 this week
greystanes this year lost 4 players due to injury;s etc, but still could be the quiet achivers, & could make it 6 grand finals in a row, loosing only 2, both 1 nil. i think it could be a tight good comp again.
The granville striker has yet to come up against a solid defence. Greystanes are never strong at the beginning of a season so getting one over the in the first round does not show a lot. It will take a few more games to convince me that this striker is anything to worry about. Every year we are told there are fantastic new players in the comp but rarely do anything make a massive impact. My top 4 prediction Greystanes Kellyville Auburn Granville (if not Baulko). not much will change from last year even with a few players gone. Last years top 3 will still be to good for the rest.
Greystanes always seem to be slow starters. Last year Kellyville smashed them in the first round as well. This is the age when teams start to lose players because of work, girls, grog etc so it will be interesting to see how the teams are going by the second half of the season. There were some interesting spectators at the Auburn-Kellyville game on the weekend. The Greystanes coach some Granville players just to name a few!!! What did you guys think of that game?
I watched Auburn vs Kellyville and thought Auburn were a little unlucky not to take a point. Kellyville looked stronger but i actually thought they would be a lot better with the passing and general control of the game. As a result Auburns frantic defending worked because Kellyville struggled. I also think the Kellyville striker is the best player in the comp, forget about anyone else.
With the amount of rain on the weekend any team would struggle to control the ball. I would love to watch the teams square up on a good day. It would turn into a fantastic game to watch. Kellyville have always appeared very strong at front regardless of who they play in the striker position.
leftie seems very sure of granville very early. Scoring a lot of goals in div 2 is very different to scoring in div 1. Only time will tell if this granville striker can live up to the praise of leftie.
Leftie, Auburn were average but we were not talking about Auburn. Again Auburn have lost their best players and good on 'em for making a team in the last minute and having a go. But on that particular game they fought hard and were unlucky not to get a draw. I personally dont care about Granville. They haven't accomplished anything. Kellyville have won a GF and went to C.O.C, Greystanes won a million G.F's, and Auburn are reigning State Cup Champions regardless of who plays upfront for Granville
