Season Structure Announced
Monday 14 November, 2011
Late in the 2011 season, a Competition Standing Committee was formed, charged with the tasks of exploring and recommending:
a timetable of matches and the structure of the various age/division breakdowns
The recommendation, endorsed by the GDSFA Board, was summarised at the AGM held on Saturday 12th November and is available here for your information.
Other endorsed arrangements include:
Nominations permitting, a 'Super League' or 'Premier League Division 2' competition will sit immediately below the existing Premier League competition and it too will be squad-based The various 'Senior' competitions will be re-named 'All Age Men' and be coded AAM,- just as the equivalent ladies competitions are called 'All Age Ladies' and coded 'AAL' - with the highest level being AAM5 if Super League comes into being or AAM3 if not.
Congrats to Granville for putting on paper the plan on paper for divisions, rounds, wet weather, finals, catch up etc for . No ridiculous small divisions, no waiting weeks for catch ups, being able to plan knowing what may occur....what could possibly go wrong?
Stan and The Captain will never achieve Oko status.
