Would just like to say that I would rather play in an 8 team comp and have 18 or so competitive games rather than play against one or two teams that dont want to be there.
Yes, I dont like to lose, but when I win 8 nil against 8 players, it makes me feel worse. Its funny how when a team really starts to argue with each other is when you are drilling a team 5 nil. It seems everybody wants a touch of the ball. Our best games last year was when we went down narrowly or held on in a tight one.
Bring on the season !! Dont listen to Ademon trying to make evryone feel sorry for Toongabbie, he should have been a politician, Dont worry we wont be easy beats
Cham, Well done on last seasons GF, lets see if you can go back to back this year in a real competition.

When nominations were placed by the clubs, All teams had a Letter A,B, C etc in an age group all the way down to J, K in certain clubs for seniors.
The association then puts those teams in a grade and 99% of the time A would have been the highest graded team fore the club. The association then when putting 2 teams from the same club in the same division then nominate Black as the highest nominated team followed by white and the Red if required.
Apparently Regents Park team wasnt happy with Div 1 grading so half the team went to Lidcombe (maybe more, Cham please enlighten us) so the remaining team joined up with a much lower div team and got regraded into 2's.
Rather than have 2 comps of 9 teams, they put Pendle hill down into 2's.
I would have prefered a comp of 18 rounds with a bye rather than an 8 team comp but I'm sure thre are many who disagree with me.
with only 14 players - 1 under 40... just, 2 over 45 and a 50th invite on the fridge!! no excuses from the KV whites gents, we look forward to hopefully causing a few upsets - maybe just one would be nice lol - Greystanes first up - ouch!! alls well that ends with an Eski - goodluck and at our age gents it's def just a game - cheers - Ipitombi

Tips Lidcombe 0 CH Black 3 (First up forfeit) KV Blk 3 Toonie 2 (8 trial games, extended pre-season, personal trainers...probably would have helped) CH White 2 Dundas 2 (Dundas slow out of the blocks, CH still rolling from last season) Greystanes 2 KV White 0 (Greys to parallel park the bus)
Stan and The Captain will never achieve Oko status.
greystanes got off to their usual appalling start to the season (3 seasons in div1 without a single point from our first round games yet!). while kellyville came with a fully stocked bench, greystanes had to add players who are on the recovery from injury who had just turned up to watch in order to get 11 on the park. by midway through the first half they were down to 10, then 9 by half time. kellyville went to the break one up after a beautiful volley off a corner. unfortunately it was one of the stanes players who had volleyed it.
in the second half, kellyville did exactly what they needed to do, keep possession and run greystanes ragged, which they did to great affect. and the holes opened up and the goals came. some assistance from some of the worst refereeing i've seen helped though, to be fair, the ref wasn't biased, he made bad decisions that went against everybody! to kellyville's credit, they were able to capitalise, while greystanes couldn't even convert one of the softest penalties they've ever received.
