Wow...so by my reckoning...pending toonie kv result... The rank outsiders are equal top?! Cream...don't give up the day job....but as sunny says it is still early days. Great result for lidcombe which again shows the gap between div 1 and 2 is not as big as all say. On your day you have a chance.. Cham details please? Chu white v Dundas.... Chu started stronger and were 3 up at the break. Dunnies improved after the break and should have got at least one back but then chu continued to attack...scored 1 more but wasted a few chances to make it more.
CHU managed to score a late goal (in the last 5 minutes. A beatiful goal from outside the box btw) to draw the game. CHU had most of possession, as you would expect. Lidcombe scored in the first half, defended well and had their chances to go 2 goals up.
@righty, As Baggio mentioned CHU were more dominant. The Lidcombe boys followed the game plan eg 4-5-1 to the letter, so that we could shut down a seemingly fitter team.In saying that the team dug deep and definetly gained confidence from that effort. The backs stayed strong and the mid-fielders rotated well. With a 20+ squad we will be looking forward to the return of some of our key players from holidays, injury and late rego's.....Cham will start the season next week.Couldn't watch another game from the sideline. My nemisis KC and his sunshine band wouldn't want it any other way.
"The slide tackle".I understand the seriousness of it if is fully exploited, but seriously you cant even genuflect next to an opponent before the ex-semi-professional mixed netball players scream for a free kick. It is a contact game, and I am yet to see a full blooded dangerous slide tackle in 3 years. So there should be some benefit when sliding especially from 2 metres away. There is obviously no intent to take the legs. Everyone has to work on Monday but you are competing for the ball so remember what game you registered to play and don't be so precious.......Fullbacks are human to.
chameleon you havent seen 1 in 3 years because they changed the rule. you know what to do if you dont like the rules dont you? its not about being a tough guy like yourself or being soft like me. its about having some fun in your twilight years and haveing a beer not getting smashed from behind because you beat a bloke. or breaking a leg at our age or doing a knee again
This is my opinion and i don't give a toss what you think
re the slide tackle, despite the seemingly complete confusion amongst the vast majority of O35 & O45 players, it is not illegal to slide for the ball. For example 2 players running side-by-side for the ball and the defender slides to knock it over the sideline.
Within Granville, a player has to both slide AND be in the act of tackling an opponent for it to be an offence.
Thanks for clearing that up Old ref.Now we can get on with playing football without the sensitivity.I hope that puts more light on the topic Stan. No one wants to see anyone getting injured but for some guys this is a natural instinct as they have been playing for years. They would be fully aware of the consequences if they went in for tackle maliciously. Castle Hill keeper thought it was alright to lift his knees to protect himself from reports I received from our strikers! Im sure the Keepers fraternity would think that this is fair game. Besides the odd lunatic, we are out there for a bit of fun. I probably should have explained it better without being sarcastic but my fans would expect nothing less.
Common sense should prevail.

@ ajebec - rather than blame the ref or your wounded for Saturdays result - think most of your fairy tale should have focused on how brilliant your keeper was and how he stopped you from being 7-0 down at the break. ... we still happy just to cause a few upsets and drink more beer than the rest - cheers KV older boys!! @ cream - please stay away from all forms of gambling!!
@ ajebec - i'll say it for you then mate, " your keeper was the best we have seen in o35 yet, he was brilliant on Saturday and the only reason you guys were still in the game at half time " I am sure you guys will be a diff team next time we meet - thats if we ever get on with all this bloody rain - @ cream - why so quiet? - put your money on all grounds closed this round!! Have a great weekend fellas - cheers
Looking forward to the game on Saturday red card....weather allowing?? I believe you have recruited well this season and indeed are looking to challenge your more illustrious club mates? I think your derby games this year will be worth a watch!

We have got a few new players Liz but we are basically the same team as the last two years... We also lost a few to 45s. Last year we were pretty awful for the first 3/4 of the season but then it started to come together... We actually beat Dundas 5 0 last game of last year...
Don't start any rumours either about challenging the blacks! It can only gee them up and we don't want to do that!!! Hopefully we will give them a better game than last year...
So the weekend... Chu wht v kellyville wht... Expected to be relegation clash but now top of the table game... With both sides coming off 4 0 wins anything could happen....can't tip against my own tip so chu to come through by the odd goal ...3 2 Chu blk v kellyville blk... Blacks will be smarting after first game draw and expected to come out all guns blazing. kellyville gave them some good games last year and will do so again, but will fall short. 2 1 to chu Dundas v toonie. Not seen anything of toonie but will be keen to get some points on the board. 2 0 win for the div 1 new boys. Stanes v lidcombe. Bathurst 2 expected to see a battle. Could all depend whether Greystanes have a full squad to choose from so hard to pick. 1 1.
