A thoroughly enjoyable season made possible by all involved. Thank you.
Commiserations to Baulko yesterday. They battled hard in the first half & did have a couple of half chances but did not take advantage of to be down 2-0 at HT. This was always going to be hard to peg back due to having to run up hill, the wind appeared to change directions for the second half & they were up against the meanest defence in the league.
CH ran away with it in the last 15 with Baulko running out of legs. But it must have been a killer watching the same bloke score the first 4. What a player - it has been a pleasure to play alongside him for the season.
I can only remember a few tackles that were a bit suspect / late / awkward / malicious in all the matches that I played in which was a good thing. Hard but fair & played in the right spirit. Some whinging from a couple of the players & some of the banter between the teams was a laugh.
Thanks to the refs that we had throughout the season, whether they were B&W's or fill ins. No ref, no match.
The highlight of the season for me was a home match v Pendle Whites where the Fatman took a throw in from in front of the Castle Hill dugout with much amazement & protesting from the Pendle lads - why - the Fatman was on the subs bench at the time. The B&W had no idea.
Have a good off season everyone & hopefully we will all be back for next season with hopefully a few more teams.

Nice report leeds. The first half was a bit strange...scored 2 but didnt really create lots of opportunties and baulko were still in it. Once the 3rd went in, things fell away unfortunately for baulko as a result of the heat and massive field.

Castle Hill worthy Grand Champions and well done for the whole season efforts. As expected they were just too good for Baulkham Hills who battled hard in the first half and had a couple of half chances. Castle Hill just too good on the day as Baulko tired in the second half and just had no answer to the CHU attacks. Well done Baulko for making the Grand Final and for your efforts all year.
I still believe that Pendle Hill Blacks would have given CHU a better run for their money and the contest would have been much closer with perhaps Pendle Hill even scrapping home. However, nothing can be taken away from CHU as they were clearly the best all round team all year and deserved to be minor premiers and grand champions.
Good luck in the Champion of Champions next weekend and do the 45's proud which I am sure they will.
I second leedslido comments about on the whole an enjoyable season with all teams generally making it so with most games played in a very good spirit, sometimes hard but generally fair.
Looking forward to more teams entering next year and having two divisions and another enjoyable year in the 45's competition with all teams playing for the love of the game, mate-ship and in a good spirit always and enjoying a cool ale after each game with the opposition. Thanks for the good games I have been able to watch and the skills on display
Enjoy the off season with your family and for those playing in summer competitions or going to the Pan Pacs or other tournaments have fun. Roll on next season and an even more competitive competition.

Well done to Castle Hill for Saturday's win and commiserations to Baulkham Hills. Good luck in the Champion of Champions to Castle Hill next Sunday. Castle Hill just too good on the day.
Thanks to all teams for making this year a very enjoyable season and I hope to see you all back next year, together with some new teams stepping up from 35's so we can have two divisions, and an even better more competitive competition.
Enjoy the off season with your families.
Realise that we live in the real world, not an ideal one.
Congratulations to the mighty Casto boys for a great season. After a shaky start that went draw, loss, loss the lads managed to win the next 17 games straight to become Minor Premiers and Premiers and results aside had a ball along the way.Team harmony without doubt the key to the point where every Saturday we had the full compliment because everyone enjoyed Saturday afternoons so much. Many thanks to all the teams in the comp this year.It is refreshing to see the true spirit of competition is alive and well in the O/45s.Good to see there is life in the old dog yet. Time for all to put the feet up and enjoy a cool ale on a warm arvo.

The draw for the O45's COC's sees Granville (Castle Hill) with a bye in both the first & second rounds. This puts us straight into the Quarter Finals for a home match v Sutherland (Lilli Pilli I believe) on Sunday 7th Oct.
Will be interesting to see how we go with such a long break after the GF?
