The cheese has been absent for most of this season but has been watching from afar!!! However this had been a top year . Heading to the finals Any Team in the top 6 on their day could win This thing I've liked is the spirit of most of us, couple of teams had a few moments but in general Most have shown the right stuff. it's been a while since The cheese has played in such a competitive league . So one game to go and I'm too drunk to know who can make 4th But well done to all that put on the old boots and made it a top year. Well done to you old farts and good luck to the top 4....
A week is a long time in football and we had our pants pulled down yesterday by a notworthyless KV. And they were good. He might find himself in the pre season draft as they went good without your majesty. Baulkobob tore a hammy, old col took a full blooded shot from silcox in the orchestra stalls, steph saved us from a real pasting and the second goal was the best I have seen this year. Premiership hopes are gone, semis round the corner and we will have to be a lot better than that to figure. Good blokes at KV except for the old bloke with the mullet that talks funny. Only kidding he's ok. Did enjoy the bloke on the KV bench having a beer During the game, Coach? Manager?
The boys did well yesterday while i was resting up in the hunter for the finals,i knew they would win after the team talkbi gave them on tuesday at training, told them your weaknesses in defence and the plan worked, the defense finally kept a clean sheet against a top 6 team, which is good, still think anyone can win it,injurys will play a part i think for all teams, ville have 13 fit so cant afford anymore, and it sounds like you boys could be losing some for finals
Ville 2 Baulkobob 0 Too good. Right from the off we struggled to compete. So much so that our stand-in coach David Middleton aka georgie rose told us at halftime that we were only winning 5% of the 50/50 balls. We spent most of the second half trying to figure that one out... Even cameo's mad dash from the airport couldn't save us. Finals will be a real challenge for us as half the squad are unfit and the other half are injured... Well played Ville, good game enjoyed by all. I'm Baulkobob
A wind assisted and bare 11 Toonie grabbed 2 early goals against the play. All changed with 2 penalities in the box (handballs) and an own goal ... by then the game was blown away like our season past round 2. Pendo too good - but no surprise there.
Like Pendo, No complaints ( maybe the penality karma will come our way next week )
Ville 3-1 C Hill Winsto 1-2 Pendo Baulko 1-2 winsto Toonie 2-1 Parra Regents park 2-2 Guildford
Winsto white finally to get a win,Baulko have gone. Pendo to sneak 4th place from parra. Ville to slip in to 2nd at the expense of Baulko
Have to say its been a good season and don't recall too many drama's all season on the park, all teams have played in the right spirit and special mention to the Winsto whites who turned up every week knowing the would struggle, many other teams would have just forfeited.
Baulko lots, winsto 0. Playing with 1 sub plus busted bobby could have been a problem. Winsto had 2 or 3 subs but apparently that put them off their game as they don't usually have subs. The bloke who ate mark schwarzer was in goals and both touches for the day were all class - just ask him. Fox copped an accidental elbow and lost a bit of claret but will be right once they insert the zipper on his forehead. McCoy is a great big grassy field and we enjoyed the open spaces. Grant nearly scored but if he's honest it was an own goal so he can't really claim it. The dude got a hat trick in the second half courtesy of a perfect throw in. Murph played 80 and was full of running since he quit the fags. Winsto were an excellent team of guys, and there wasn't a single issue in the game. Thanks for a good game. I'm baulkobob.
GC 3 RP 2 Someone forgot to tell players that defence was part of the game. Each team had more than 20 chances at goals. The crowd were certainly on the edge of their seats. Santa was giving out presents again. The Gnome continued his recent good form. The goal of the century by George Cluney. A 40m volley into the top corner at pace. SBS material. Shame it wasn't filmed. The Best news is that we finished on a win. A close finals series is ahead. The winner is unlikely out of the top 2.
