Seeing C Hill are about a 10% chance to make the semis you have rather stated the obvious.
I stand by what I said though. They passed the ball around well, ran for each other & put their chances away. The latter being their main problem all year. The potential has been there but goal scoring has been a problem. I have seen most teams this season & only 2 would have competed with C Hill last Saturday.

Well done Merry you have done a great job with your boys with the improvement from the start of the year. Kk & Auburn D 1all draw a very good game Kk probably having more chances today but not converting.(good to have players back)

Due to the bye I went out and watched Wenty beat Auburn FC 2-0. Auburn not the same team that played us last week - they were flat and didn't really offer much in attack which is unusual for them. Wenty put an end to the recent run of bad results with a goal in each half.
Congratulations Merryman - your boys have come a long way in the last 3 months.

Congratulations merrylands on the win, and officially knocking C Hill out of the semi final race. That's the first time in how many years? Leeds I have a question for u. U mentioned in a earlier post that there's on 2 teams that can complete with c hill last sat. So who's the other team? This comp is very close
From all the matches that I have seen so far this year, with the way CH played last week v Wenty, the only 2 teams that would have competed with them on that day were Aub D & Kelly. Obviously they could not do it all season or even 2 weeks in a row which has been extremely frustrating & disappointing for all involved but that is football & they deserve their place where they are on the ladder because of that. I missed yesterdays match so cannot comment other than Leeds Jnr was very disappointed with the result & as I said, frustrated that they could not put together another good performance.
That ends a rather remarkable run by CH since U9's. Was always going to happen at some stage, just a bummer it happened to be this year.
Well done to Merrylands on getting up over CH yesterday. It has been a long time.
I thought I saw whom I have thought was mightymeatus at Webbs Ave yesterday. I did not see a lot of that match but was impressed both yesterday & last week with a rather small African lad in the Wenty team, he goes well.
could be interesting the effect Ramadan has on Auburn D and also Auburn FC to a lesser extent, watched the first half of the Prems reserve grade between the 2 Auburns yesterday and I must say I didn't think Auburn D were nearly as good as I have seen them in the past.
Also saw the end of the Auburn Kolt's 15 and again it didn't seem like the same Auburn team that his nibs reffed earlier i the season against both Auburn FC and also Kolt's, so like I said has Ramadan come too early this year

I wouldn't put it down to Ramaden, i would say that the top 5 teams have improved throughout the season and each game is getting closer and harder to pick, I was at the Auburn D vs Kelliville game. Auburn are a great team and were unlucky not to put alot of their first half chances away early in the game, they looked good. credit to Kelliville for sustaining the first half pressure and scoring early in the second.

Dundas 0 Auburn Dist. 4 My boys started ok, but were on the wrong end of a few crucial decisions from the ref that led to goals and were always chasing the game from 20 minutes on. Well done to Auburn - even though they were gifted a couple of goals they were still by far the better team - no excuses from me, and my boys will need to improve on that performance if we are going to squeeze into the 4.
In saying that, I don't think Ramadan, Jenny Craig or the Tony Ferguson weight loss diet had any impact on this result.

Hey Kiffo, I missed you at the game this morning. It was good to catch up with Kolt and his entourage. I also caught up with a few of my ex-players.
While I can't and won't comment on the fireworks, the game itself was played at a good level, and KV nearly got away with it. I think they switched off a bit once they got up 3-1 against 9 field players. . . . and that may have been their un-doing.
Congrats to Merry and the boys for getting the win over CH last week ! The ML manager told me that the coach was over the moon.
