The sad part of it all is that this may have been much worse after the game had Auburn lost. The young bloke who stood behind the goals threatening a few KV players, before leaving the ground with Auburn's ratstail bandit needs to be looked at, as he was a ticking time bomb the whole game and was straight in when full time was blown looking to start trouble.
I thought i'd seen the last of pitch invasions when i stepped down from Premier League a couple of seasons ago.

You know what Meaty. You are right. I know its horrible to say this but part of me was relieved it was a loss. I know that our boys played an outstanding level of football yesterday despite the drama. Yes the whole thing got to them a little - they are still only 14/15. I know our keeper was upset. But I am proud of the way they handled yesterday. I know the coaches were too. It is instilled in our boys by coaches, managers and great bunch of parents, no matter the score - win, loose or draw, if you play to the best of your abilities we are proud of you. And that is what sport in particular for kids should be about!!
I urge witnesses from yesterdays events to lodge an incident report to Granville about what you witnessed. In particular the racial harrassment of the Kv goalkeeper by these spectators for the 20 minutes leading up the pitch invasion. This is not something I want to let Granville sweep under the carpet....It was a sad day for kids sport and I am sorry my child had to experience it.
Next time it may not be a Kellyville player, it might a player from your team. What will it take to stop this behaviour. A spectator to run out with a knife??? A king hit?? Someone to die...yes it sounds melodramatic....it always does until we read about these type of incidents in the paper or watch them on the tv...then reality hits...

Kiff, So why didn't you say G'day ?. I would have recognised you straight away if you had lead out with " Hi. My name's Kiffo. You may remember me from such great games as LW vs KV 2010" I didn't recognise you as I was probably busy with my BBQ roll. Which leads us to why I might look a little different these days ;D
Leeds, 1, etc . . . I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut with what I see and hear nowadays . . . and sometimes I actually succeed in keeping it shut Mind you, I still love having a little dig . . . but this one has grown it's own legs and don't need no prodding from me !.
fishin has actually learn't some diplomacy in the last 2 years, LOL, hard to understand I know but he has and is doing really well at it, now I had better shut up before I am invited on a "fishing trip" ;-)

mrskoltville - Unfortunately, I am the wrong person to write a report - I did not witness the incident nor the lead up to it, only the aftermath of the pitch invasion as I made my way from the car park to the field. I even missed the first 2 goals and the red card. I did witness the aftermath of the match, however again, I was at a distance so could not comment with any certainty about any particular comment made.
It's unfortunate that after so long in the association I am not shocked anymore at what goes on and how little gets properly punished - I've seen it all before and will more than likely see it again. This has marred what has been a great season in 15/1's, but the reality is that letters to the association, reports, statements, eye-witness accounts - all of them fall upon deaf ears. I wish you luck in trying to get justice, and second all of your comments, however have little confidence that anything will be done. I am also very surprised that the game was not abandoned after the pitch invasion, however that is another argument for another day.

I am shocked that this game was NOT abandoned. I believe the KV team are owed an explanation as to why the officials allowed the game to continue after an assault on a player by spectators had occurred. It is my understanding that any melee of more than 3 parties on the field, or the entry of any of the spectators onto the field means immediate match abandonment! Have the referees changed this policy??
What a great season it has been, great players, coaches and managers. I have enjoyed reading "players forum". Good luck to all teams fighting out semi positions and for the players through to semis already.
CH six up when I arrived just after HT. Due to position on table & scoreline, the management of CH changed their normal formation & the tall centre back (contender for CH player of the year) went up front & very nicely put 2 away. Well done.
Highlight of the match for me was the LW coach whom refereed the match, coaching his kids (throughout the second half at least), becoming quite animated (as every coach does) at times but keeping good control of the match & I did not see a bad decision. It was funny to watch.
Auburn d 2 v wenty 0. Goal of the season for me was auburn d gk took a goal kick which went the distance of the field and bounced over wenty gk head and into net. No doubt helped by windy weather. The game was played in good spirit.
A match that did not reach any great heights apart from one CH goal.
Windy conditions & AFC starting the match with nine players & having their tenth player turn up after 20 minutes into the match. CH always in control & took a 2 nil lead into half time.
Auburn came more into the match with the tenth players arrival but the result never seemed in doubt.
The third CH goal was a shot?/clearing kick from about 3m inside CH's half, one bounce & over the not very tall goalkeepers out strecthed arms.
3 wins to finish the season with but overall a disappointing position on the ladder. The kids did learn & improve throughout the season thanks to the coaching staff that kept their philosophy of trying to play out from the back & play good footbal not just kick & chase.
Well done to all teams, especially to Auburn District & those that made the semis. Good luck to all for the finals. As I am a believer in first past the post is the best team in the comp I hope for Auburns sake that they go on to win the GF but it would be cool if an old Winsto lad could add to his GF wins. I will be cheering for you.
