Matty, great news for you, I'm tipping Winsto to win. Macduff to get a brace for a 2 1win.
Spot on tip,
Good tough hard game in blustery coditions with both teams playing better uphill and into breeze....RSL started well and got a early goal and had chances for a second.......1 nil at half time but second half Winsto dominated and got 2 in the last 20 to win the game...in the end i thought Winsto dominated the 2nd half more than RSL dominated the 1st so deserved there close victory today....both teams had walking wounded at the end.
Good luck to the Grand Finalists next week.
Well done RSL on another good year.
Some Baulko players out there as well.......was Stillgame amongst them?

Well done to Winsto on reaching the grand Final. The game on Sat was played very hard by both teams with plenty of tough Tackles and hard running. We started very well and really should have been at least 2-0 up by halftime. we had the wing against us in the 1st half so we were fairly happy at 1-0 at the break. Second half we started well again but started to fade half way through the 2nd half as we began to tire. Winsto were on top for the remainder of the game and scored the winner with around 5 to go. Winsto with full bench and the depth they have is eveident when they bring on a sub they are just as good as the man they replace. We only had 1 on the bench with 3 players unavailable due to Being away for work. We just tired in the last 20 as the game was played a lot faster then the week before. We just need another couple of players to improve the depth as when we are without a few of our players we strugglw ti fill the void. Not taking anything away From Winston hills as they deserved the win and have been a great team all year. We are happy with our year especially coming from Div 5 and making it to 1 game from the grand Final, although we were all Shattered at the pub afterwards to not make the Grand Final.
Good luck to both teams but for mine i think Winsto might just fire up for the big one after pendo beat them 4-0 in the semi. i will say 3-1 to Winsto.
Well, the GF sides have now been decided with the mighty Pendo Blacks facing up to Winsto, the top 2 sides making the big one, should be a cracker next week.
I was down there on Saturday to watch what turned out to be a very good match and, no hardwork, I wasn't with the Baulko boys, I was up in the stands staying as close to the coffee and hot chips as possible as it was a chilly old day out there and Ol' Still hadn't brought the right jacket so had to try to stay warm somehow!
Got a great view from the stands and, for mine the Rissoles should have gone into half time up 2-0. they scored a great goal early on in the game and had Winsto on the back foot from then on and had what I consider to be the chance of the match, RSL player through on the big Winsto keeper, one on one, no pressure from a defender and steered his shot outside the keeper's right hand post when he really should have just taken it around the keeper and tapped it home.
That proved very costly indeed with Winsto coming back with 2 goals in the second half and, to be honest, once they equalized there was really only one side going to go on and win it in my view.
Have to agree with hardwork, RSL certainly had the better of the first half with Winsto looking a bit lost and they would have been relived to be only 1 down at the oranges. Totally different second half with their playmaker on the field, their number 9. They started at a cracking pace and never let up and scored two very similar goals, winger taking the ball almost to the bye line, whipping the ball across goal and on both occasions, an unmarked Winsto player there to slot the ball home.
They are a different side when number 9 is on, he never stops running and is involved in almost every move, especially down the flank, hope he is fit for next week.
Overall I think the best team did win the match but RSL never gave up and tried their hardest but when the second goal went in you could see some of the heads go down as there really wasn't long to go, good time to score a killer goal.
Big congrats to the RSL boys on a great season and coming so close to a GF appearance, well done guys, you should be very proud of your achievements.
Congrats to Winsto as well for turning around a bad day at the office the previous week and getting to the big one, well done lads. In that second half it was obvious that you really wanted this one and you got it.
Nice to see the Pendo boys down there enjoying the game and the beers and studying the form going into next week, hope you all learned something that will give you the edge next week boys!
Not sure yet as to who will win next week, I will give it some thought and pop on later in the week to give my last view of the season.
Well done for Pendo & Winsto making GF. Harry ask for GF to be played at Daniel st stadium but was denied. Have said in previous post that Winsto would win GF & will predict 2-0 Win. Sir Billy to get man of match & Boots to carry him on his shoulders after the game. Will try & get there but if not will look forward to Stillgame Report.
Well, we are finally here, GF eve. After an exciting season the best two sides are there in the big one. Congrats once again to both Pendo & Winsto for making it and I hope the game is a cracker and the best team on the day takes the chocolates.
Unfortunately Ol' Still can't make it to the game at that time, too many chores to be done so I might try to get out to a later GF somewhere if I get the chance.
While Pendo have earned the right to be faves on the day due to winning the MP and also giving Winsto a nice little touch up last time around I think this will be a much closer match and if the Winsto number 9 starts the game, on a nice big park I think he will be the difference based on what I saw from him last week.
I am tipping Winsto in a tight one here if he plays, might even go the distance. If the number 9 doesn't play then I think Pendo will shade it. But, gun to my head I will tip Winsto to win, don't want to be accused of being a fence sitter here!!
Irrespective of who wins I am sure the game will be a cracker with lots of verbal and 22+ refs on the park!! Best of luck to both sides, sorry I can't make it out there.
To everyone else in the 35/3's, great season guys, almost all matches played in the right spirit and it went to the last round before all the top 4 spots were decided, you can't get better than that!
Ol' Still is looking forward to a great year next year in 3's. Good luck to Pendo and Winsto in the 35/2's next season, I think you will both go well there if you can keep your squads.
For the rest of the sides who may be coming back, see you in April twenty thirteen!!

Winsto 2 Pendo 1
Good tough game played in great spirit and well reffed....Winsto had the breeze 1st half and dominated leading 2 nil(great diving header for 1st) at half time and it could have been more....2nd half Pendo got one back via a deflection and then missed a penalty and had some good chances to equalize but was not meant to be....Pendo keeper made some great saves as did swanny in 2nd half(last minute beauty) and Big Billy kept a clean sheet in the first half in his last game....good standard game considering the blustery conditions.
Well done to all....congrats to Winsto on the win and good luck to both teams in 35/2s.
Congrats to Big Billy on his playing career....deserved to go out with a win.
