Hey Darth and HardWork, good to see you guys back for this year. Will catch y'awl on the pitch and for a quenching ale after. Looking forward to the season start.
In the trials we have almost scored as many as we did the whole of last season WOOHOO. The last being a 3-1 win over N Rox 6's. Good to hear the Villians joining the 5's but are they up to our skill levels? hahaha
dundasdarth, it's a return to O35's from O45/1 for 6 of us, 2 from 35/3 the rest new to the club. Only one trial game & a few training sessions. So dont expect to much, this should put you into a false sense of security. See you on the field. baulkokid.

Dundas 4 - Baulko White 0 Game had end to end action all day Our striker scored 4 (Probably would have had another if he hadnt run into a brick wall!!) Baulko tried hard all day (had a few close calls on the goalline) NO Black and White :-( but ref did a great job
Dundas's # 9 - 4 goals - Baulko wht 0. With out him the game would have been 0-0. He was fast & skillfull, 6 one on one's with the keeper. Other than that it was a very close game. The tackle on him was fair if we were playing league. Thanks to the ref for being a good sport.
How is Paul (?) of Kellyville who collapsed with a knee injury 15 mins into the 2nd half and was taken to hospital by ambulance?? (The score was P/City 4, Kellyville 0 at that stage and the decision was shortly taken to abandon the match due to the injury and the expected delay in ambulance arriving/leaving)

Gee, hope all are ok. Baulkokid, who's knee went in your team?
Rouse Hill boys were a good team. Thanks for the game boys and thanks to the official who stepped in. Would be great to play most of the season in the same mannor except with us getting something on the board though.
Where were you playing SteadyRam? Forgot to say hi during the game
Left mid. Will definitely catch up next time. I had a brief chat with you guys when carrying the esky home with our keeper but couldn't stop. Had the boys coming round for a feed and needed to get coals on.
Thanks for a good game. I'll come watch you guys play Merrylands on Sat while we suit up for our clash with Baulkokid .....
Dundasdarth, are player Glen came of seccond best, his report :- I have ruptured my ACL, damaged my maniscus, and have a stress fracture of fema. But he said he will be right for this weekend, to cheer us on. Our centre back said after hearing this :- Reading Glenn's email has made me think about a couple of my tackles. It was a good game played in a good spirit until I unnecessary riled things up with a couple of stupid fouls, it no doubt caused some embarrassment for you all. I won't being doing that again. I'm a fifty two year old fat man and should be playing over 45s not chasing rabbits around in 35s, he had 15 years on me. A lesson for all, we are old, in a lower div so just enjoy it. nice to win but losing dose not mater. Baulkokid

Baulkokid - Give Glen our best wishes and I hope he has a speedy recovery. Concur with your sentiments 100% - The reason I havent played for the last 3 years is my team went from Div 6 to Div3 over a period of years and it was the most unpleasant ,niggly, bitchy season I have ever been involved in. I just want to play for fun (Yes I like to win) but its more about enjoying the run around as you said. I am 50 next year but still enjoy running against the young whippersnappers!!
Hey Baulkokid, I think he's playing where he should be. The 45's is for the "better" O45 year old's who come from 35 1's, 2's and possibly 3's. They can take it quite seriously, hence why we're here and not there. It's not a different age division, it's a different style of play. Most 35's teams would be easily beaten by their 45's team.
For taking it easier on the pitch good on him. We're all in for the fun of it like Darth said, with the view to still win but not at the expense of the fun and good will we have here in the Mighty 5's. Getting injured is a no go as it could reduce the amount of ice from eskies available for other more serious things...

Darth - looking forward to playing you guys after our close matches last year. No 9 should be well over his groin injury by now making him even quicker, of that's possible
Baulkokid - see you guys Sunday. I haven't heard what availability is like yet but I'm expecting to have a full team. I'm glad we have field 1 at Ted Horwood for the 2nd game of the weekend. Should require less running :-)
