No dramas Dodgy, although I consider the two goals we conceded as very soft and lazy on our part. These two goals would have handed Wenty their first win of the year - had we not scored the nine we did! We were 3-nil up inside the first 5 minutes.
No risks on my part today!
Hardwork - yeah Lemonboots (as he was called) does well for us (hat-trick today) but we certainly don't rely on him solely! Come check us out and you might see why!
Hey Gentlemen I am from bulkho so I can provide some light in the games we are involved in. We were beaten by Guildford 2-1 on the weekend & I think that may have settled who finished first in 2012. I was amazed that they had a squad of 24 players registered! But that a side they played very well, they were organised and were all fit & good on the ball, i believe it was a deserved win for them. We are looking forward to Ermo's game this weekend, they also beat us well in our last encounter and showed us why they are the team to beat as they seem to be on fire. Also wanted to congratulate the Blacks as I remember clearly telling them after our first encounter that they should to be in top four with the way they play and now there they are in top four and getting stronger. I wondered however what happened to the whites! they were such a great tough team to play against in our trial game and first game against them... I know the season is almost over for whites but I am a fan as I know what you guys can do with your full healthy squad. last but not least Greystane boys keep your foot on the gas as you got something good there... you guys played really well against us & 3-0 result to my opinion is not a true representative of the game & your performance.

Nice post Hos - welcome aboard! Yes I agree with your analysis on this closely contested comp. Now you guys can do us a big favour and beat St Micks twice in 6 days!! (Sun & following Sat) Key game tomorrow - Greys home to Rocks Black - we can leapfrog them into 4th if we win with Black then having to play Guildford (1st) then Ermo (3rd) in their last two! A tough run in.
Good luck to all teams in the remaining weeks. Remember, although many are fighting to be a part of the final series, it's still just a game and we all want to be able to walk normally come sunday mornings !

Was a season of what if in the first half. 3 or 4 results that were decided in the last min or two. Then the injuries really kicked in to start the second half and a couple of results that were blowouts where basically we conceded 3 or 4 goals in the space of 20 mins.
Yesterday's game was our best of the season and even then with only 11 fit guys and 2 on the bench that were not even going to play but put the shirt on to give some rest to others.
We will enjoy the last two games, no pressure but want to finish the season on a strong note and help the blacks along the way.
Thank you creepy & crossbar. Whites: that's the kind of result I have been expecting from you guys & we will enjoy our last game of the season with you guys as you guys have always played the game with good spirit & the first 2 times we had a tough time & may have just got away with it in the last few minutes! Blacks: it looks like you will be in top 4 & well deserved even though I am sure greys would have given you a good run for your money. This may have been the game to watch. Ermo: thank you for a great game yesterday, it was a tough game but was generally played with good spirit & looking forward to be seeing you in the finals. My opinion: guildford is the best team as they have been together for while, have organisation, fitness & a massive squad of good players to choose from. But from what have seen from most of the teams in our comp we all have our own specific attributes to be able to beat them or any team on the day. Good luck guys for the remaindering 2 games.
Greys - NR Blacks was a game of two halves. Greys came out strong whilst Blacks struggled to figure out what they were there for. Injuries continued to take there toll on Blacks and an early goal reflected Greys total domination. North Rocks super sub came onto the pitch to settle the lads down and control the midfield. 3 unanswered goals in a total role reversal including a clinical final goal. Bring on Guildford........

Nothing really to add after mcp77c's report on this game, pretty spot on! Maybe only that if we were focussed on playing the game instead of having a go at the ref & each other, we would have made a better game of it! Personally I'll just be happy to get through 2 more games without any more injuries (not making excuses tho!). We're still a chance but yesterday's loss makes it a lot harder.

"Top 3 sorted out but if we beat Rocks blk next week and Greys upset Guild, then it's Greys into the semis." Not likely dodgey based on the way we played yesterday. More going on with us than anyone realises. In any case, on our day we can beat anyone so who knows? Rocks White are certainly an improved team and hung in there with us all game. We missed some great opportunities to score today which could really sum up our season. Oh well, it's down to the gods now!
hey offda, you might want to bring your own ref. Guildford had one of their guys ref us yesterday and it was appalling how one sided it was (read cheating). We had one in the back of the net early, which was then disalowed fron the ref standing over 30m away. And an offside call from the halfway line after we took the ball on the 18yd box. Freekicks were about 20 for guildford to just 1 for us. frankly we should have just abandoned the game. good luck......
Rocks blk 1-0 Ermo.We finished the game with 10 men, not the best preparation for the semis. We play them again next week, hopefully with a different result.Good luck to all teams on the semis.Thank you to the teams that didn't make the semis for a good year with "MOST" games played in good spirits.Cheers
